Thanks for the clarification Bosh, so does KMSEmulator.exe need only "Private" exceptions in the Windows Firewall? Not needing to go out thru the Internet?

Yes, you may leave only "Private" as it just needs to be accesed in the local address 127.0.0.1 :)

Most online "google" articles on Windows Firewall tell you to ALWAYS choose "Public" in order to be "most secure"... Even programs that makes attempts to access the net (eg. KMSEmulator.exe), will tick "Public" by default.

From my understanding, for most security & privacy:

Network Location = Select Public networks
Allow programs and features = Select Private ONLY (if possible)

    Am I correct? I'm still slightly confused....

I don't believe those factors relate to Cody and Bosh's tookit ;)

I just did a test with a tftp server connected to a router (client) on same subnet and enabling "Private" didn't work, I had to enable the public option for it to work... oh well...

Tested: installed Office 2010 in a Win7 VHD (on same hardware)
Copied tokens.dat and cache.dat from my MAK activated Office
    Changed key
    Office activated without internet connection!

Thanks for that! A group of testers is what we're needing
We would try to find the correct key for the backup, if we can't the we would have to ask the user to provide it, but we would have a successful backup that bypasses reformats :D

Do you need to use 'Office 2010 Toolkit and EZ-Activator' and timesurfer's 'IORRT' to get a fully activated Office 2010?

IORRT requires a rearm for it to work so Cody's toolkit help's repair the rearms. Toolkit and IORRT are seperate autonomous programs otherwise

What bug? Antivirus programs are blocking keygens because they are tools for piracy, so sending them any reports helps them get things like these blocked sooner.
The best thing to do is ignore the alerts, add the offending files to exception and go on with life.

    Hi
I have EZ Activator 2.0.1 from the first post.
My AV (avast) detects the Virus in files: KMSEmulator.exe and AutoKMS.exe
Do these files are safe and I can add them to the exceptions, which AV will not scan?

ETA Unknown, but we are getting pretty close to a V2.1 BETA once we work a few more things out. Unfortunately it won't run KMSEmulator from RAM for now.

    AVAST detecting AutoKMS.exe and KMSEmulator.exe

Hi, I know you have all been talking about Avast now detecting AutoKMS and KMSEmulator. I have added them to the Exclusions list and that doesn't seem to matter. I always shutdown my computer at night. What is the best way to work around this issue? Thanks.

    Hi
I used the EZ Activator button to activate Office after installing the MSDN version of Office 2010 Standard x64. Amazing! Could even install updates :)

Now I am curious, is it possible to run EZ Activator silently with a switch? That way I could easily create a 7zip sfx installer for my family to install (and activate) office 2010 with only one click :)

The silent switch will be available in the next release, possibly in 2 weeks.
