Are you certain about this? I have a copy of Office 2013 VL running on a Windows 8 VM that has been running in notification mode for several days now. There has been now shutting down/disabling of any features in the software. The only prompts that I receive are at the launch of individual applications, and, of course, the reminder at the top of the window that "Activation Failed."
No that is not surely going to happen... the only thing that will happen is all costumization will turn off... there will be a watermark saying ur windows is not genuine... windows update and other small-small things that require windows to be genuine will turn off... but note that they will be optional things and not vital
sorry did not make myself clear... so KMS solution is required for windows 8 - as no kms solution is availabble for office 2013 running on windows 8. kms solution only works for office 2013 running windows 7....
Can someone tell me why this doesn't work for me?? Specs: TestVM1: Win7-x86-SP1. Firewall totally off. Office miniKMS activator KMS service running (tried 1.2, 1.1 & 1.053), on IP 192.168.0.35 (bridged LAN) TestVM2: Win7-x86-SP1, Firewall totally off. Office2013 VL ProPlus installed (key GVGXT) (actually Word & Excel only for now). I typed in cscript ospp.vbs /sethst:192.168.0.35 and it was accepted OK Then cscript ospp.vbs /act and I get a horrible error which if you look means "Data is invalid" see the screenshot. My product, sku, key etc is the same as everyone elses, so why not working?? BTW, I set a bogus KMS host IP to test it, and it complains kms host cant be found, so I presume by that that I AM talking to my kms host when I type in my address correctly. So is my KMS host sending back a bad validation?? I thought the old 2010 mini-KMS-activator could do it? Or is there another app I should be using?? (btw I tried doing same using VAMT3.0 and gave same error) Thanks
I was told at this point to rearm office then try Activation again... I get the same thing as you... even after rearm... and I chek with /dstatus also... also I tried with bridged and unbridged.. also I have tested NOT VM still no go..
I tried re-arming. Also tried the thing about deleting some registry entry and then repairing Office. So have just given up for now as not too fussed about 2013, as 2010 more than I need for now anyway (and I run my own Kerio mail server and no Kerio connector for Outlook 2013). Nov6 is the day that KMS goodies come out for O2013 so we shall hopefully see some interesting movement thereafter. Just put this 'project' to the side for the time being.
your office still in retail not vl, try Code: cscript "%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office15\ospp.vbs" /dstatusall , if many key install, delete all first, then convert to vl, lastly activated
