Office 2013 or 2010 or 2007 for Windows 8?

    Which one has the least hassle in terms of activation and so forth? It seems the only noticeable difference is that Office 2013 is better integrated with the Metro UI of Win 8, but if it's problematic to activate and maintain since it checks constantly online like Win 8, maybe Office 2010 or even 2007 would be enough for typical usage? Has anyone tried the most recent versions and which one is the least problematic? TIA

    I have tried them all.
    Currently I'm using Office 2013. (KMS activation)
    the least hassle? Office 2007 (replacing a dll file does the trick)

    least hassle for me is 2010 (MS Toolkit), but I like 2013 so I deal with the extra "slight" once every 6 months hassle lol.

    Do you mean Office 2013 will be able to be activated without running a VM? That would be nice.

    Is there a thread with progress updates or is this something you are working on yourself?
