I purchased a retail Office Home and Business 2013 from the M$ store, but, could only install it via click-to-run-even from a downloaded dvd iso, so, I got a refund and went back to Office 2010. As I understand it now, only volume licensed and MSDN/Technet subscription versions of Office 2013 offer the option of an offline msi install-like Office 2010 and older. Is this correct; thanks
I do believe that is correct, although there are some advantages to click-to-run it is a pain in the backside for custom installations. I opt to not get a refund and just DL one of these and use MTK. I paid for the suite, but don't want the crap end of the stick that came with it. TECHNICALLY it may not be right, but so be it. I'm hearin' ya' on that one. Office 2013 ranks as one of the worst experiences in software I have had in a long time...and all to combat eula misuse I'm sure. Professional 2013 is too much money and incorporates way more than I use-ya' know. If M$ continues with this then I will have to go with something like Office Libre-and a standalone email client. Thanks for the input EFA11.
