I see a lot of article showing how to convert Retail to VL but none that show how or if you can convert an Office 2016 VL to Office 365. We are moving from volume licensing to having users use an Office 365 license for their local install. I am trying to find a method of conversion that does not involve uninstall the VL Office and running the C2R installer. I did try a method from another post where you run cleanospp.exe than run for /f "delims=" %i in ('dir /b /on *.xrm-ms') do (cscript //Nologo %windir%\System32\slmgr.vbs /ilc %i) , but after running Office still shows its a KMS version.
Kinda off-topic but how to update Office Plus 2016 Volume step by step, guide? Sadly, searched everywhere on the forum but there is nothing or my search skill is not competent enough for MDL, Sorry.
Is the bit difference between the VL version and the 365 version so great that is would not be a simple file swap and/or registry changes?
