Not in the direct sense. The public version will be available after the release of the appropriate licenses. Official documentation must also be published. LTSC channels have their own update channel, so at the stage of public testing (not announced), it is permissible to check deployments with the official identifier and name of the branch (update channel). Information about version availability means that the deployment channel (branch) is “enabled” on the Microsoft server. If previous sales of single apps were not successful, then it is acceptable to expect them to be abandoned. But we cannot exclude the possibility that package licenses are sufficient at the testing stage. Here you need to remember or study messages from past years, when 2019 and 2021 were in a similar situation.
Tried to change the channel from current to PerpetualV2024 with Excel, Word and Powerpoint Single installs and got an error while office tried to update: "Unfortunately this did not work. Unfortunately, we cannot find a required file. Please check whether the installation source is accessible and then try again. Errorcode 30183-28 (400)" Same if I check for updates in the apps now. Did I do anything wrong?
I don't know if it is related or not, but 2024 Single installs `do not exist` yet and I don't see any point to move from `current` to `PerpetualV2024`
This script have a option to install only select apps from office? EDIT: I see now, but when I try to install just back to main menu.
found a bug latest mdt - setup.exe Have support for 2024 product's install so you should able to install 2024 via XML files now it can work from `2024` Or `Current` channel's, but i did mistake if you choicen `current` channel + `2024` products, it will use the legacy setup.exe ... instead latest one. will fix next time, cause i'm lazy. Edit. 1. this bug will not affect users who did not change setting.ini. (XML settings) Edit. 2. attach a fixed file for people that prefers an XML method
Another problem @Dark Dinosaur: If you transfer the Office files to another device, properly configured in the C:\Downloads folder, and attempt to install the individual apps separately, it doesn’t work and gives the same error I mentioned earlier. I tried doing this yesterday on someone else’s computer, and it didn’t work
