I'm getting the following error with the latest version of OfficeRTool using the most basic settings on Windows 10/11:

We can't install
This product can't be installed on the selected update channel. Please contact your system administrator and try again.

 

• Downloaded latest Current (Retail/RTM)
• Selected 3. Office Professional Plus 2021 Volume when installing

I didn't do anything I haven't done 1,000 times already with OfficeRTool. With the latest update of OfficeRTool, I get the above error on any Windows 10/11 PC I throw at it.

 

This was my suspicion as well.

 

I'll let you know soon. I'm only just now able to test the old version.

Edit: The old version of OfficeRTool you linked to works just fine.

 

Since there's no available option to install the retail version and convert it later, installing LTSC from the Current channel is the only way to get feature updates past 14332.

 

Is there a way to revert to the old Office visual design?

 

Thank you for maintaining this tool. When I activate it only gives me 180 days of license. Is there a way for making the activation permanent?

 

Hi, I love this tool, however I am unable to run it for an unknown reason. I'm not sure what exactly is tripping up here. I tried disabling Defender, configuring Defender to stock defaults, but still no dice. Unfortunately I am unable to send a log file at the moment (<5 posts), however the output is:

The syntax of the command is incorrect.

Symptoms: Opens a PowerShell window, elevates, then opens a few more and closes it.
I'm a complete newbie to VBS so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am getting this error when i try to install:

"Sorry, we ran into a problem accessing a required file. Please check that the installation source has the correct permissions, then try again"

My anti virus is 100% off, and i completely uninstalled all versions of office and used the Scrub Office tool already. I am on Windows 11.
