Ok a workaround is installing from semi-annual business channel and than convert back to perpetual 2021

 

well not a workaround at all since I cannot downgrade the version and I have this ugly potato interface with thick title bar.

 

looks like the problem is OneNote 2021 in the perpetual VL /ltsc 2021: looks like it's missing or it doesn't exist in this configuration

There is something strange, hopefully it is just me.
Whenever I install "O365ProPlusRetail" by creating the setup later package using OfficeRTool.
I select Visio and Project, but it generate and installs an old edition instead of 2021.
It should generate:
<Product ID="VisioPro2021Retail">
and
<Product ID="ProjectPro2021Retail">

Try this modded file and replace it in the OfficeRTool folder. I made these changes for myself since I am using Ohook now to activate office instead of Mondo 2016.

Changes from official tool:
1) Disabled adding windows defender exceptions since the s**tty defender flags those exceptions in the registry (lol). I disable it anyway before using the tool to avoid being nagged.
2) For all Office 365 SKUs (home, business, professional plus), Project Pro 2021 and Visio Pro 2021 are selected.
3) The output of "oscdimg" will be displayed since I like to see the progress percentage in numbers . Also, the path where the ISO is generated will be shown as well (not really needed but I did it anyway.)

You can compare the file with the official release from dark dinosaur if you want (use notepad++ to compare or edit.). Enjoy!

P.S. MOD UPDATED FOR v11.
NOTE: For 365 SKUs, Project & Visio 2021 will be replaced by 2024 on Public Release of Office 2024.

Does anyone else get an error "Could get latest version" when using option "(G)"?

It never allows me to update via the tool, I always have to re-download from here.

EDIT: Nevermind, seems to be related to the folder it is in being "Read-only". Unticked that and now fixed

Why isn't the ohook method allowed? Approval from the developer??

 

Mmm... The OfficeRTool is a multi-tool mainly for KMS activation.
To test the downloaded "365 / Retail editions" without burning or entering the original keys everytime then ohook is the way.
So if you download the entire 365 with the tool and create the setup package then you must change the config xml lines to reflect the latest version ID:

This... until Dark Dinosaur releases a new version with the small fix for the 365 Edition.

 

UPX or not, fix that ASAP, never had any antivirus alert since the existence of OfficeRTool. Thanx.
