I think it's safe enough to share this fix with the entire community, it seems to work for everyone that tested it. Unless, of course, this goes against the developers' wish.

He just wants to be on the safe side before releasing it. Indeed, it looks like the loader is working well on a number of Macs! :)

What do you mean, are you saying you can't get activated? Use leaked Ultimate OEM key and HP certificate.

The only way I know to stably activate Windows VISTA on a Mac Pro is to use the Paradox hack (Clony). Naturally, that was defeated by Vista SP1. Since then, only two flavors of activator work in regular PCs:

    1. VistaLoader (based on grub4DOS).
    2. The gkend bootmgr hack.

Unfortunately, gkend's hack doesn't work on Macs at all (I guess it gets confused with HFS). As for VistaLoader and its successor, 7Loader in its various flavors, it is stable for all Macs, EXCEPT for Mac Pros. Much as you try to use VistaLoader or, now, 7Loader, the best thing you can achieve is to have Vista or Windows 7 activated for a couple of boots, then the activation simply vanishes.

Two ideas about the unstability of activation on Mac Pros:
    1. It might be related to the peculiar AHCI architecture of these machines, shared by certain top-of-the-line PCs. I don't know if johnsock's MBR hack and the change of a key in the Windows registry and the later installation of the Intel AHCI drivers might solve this instability
    2. It might be related to the simple fact the, more often than not, Windows on a Mac Pro resides in a hard drive of its own, that is, one not shared with the regular OS X drive. Perhaps if the Windows "disk" was just a large partition of a larger hard drive, with, let's say, another FAT32 or HFS+ partition, activation might get solved.

Maybe the solution for such AHCI machines lies somewhere else.

Just finished working with Hazar testing and fixing some crashes. I won't send any more copies out just now but I'll post a public link soon.

If the loader is working for you (most people), there's nothing to worry about.

    Thanks everyone for the feedback.

    SuperCool :D
So, what we have to do is install Hazar 1.5 Loader first, and then your fix, zsmin, right?

    Thanks so much guys ;)

Could I please get a link to this no-delay loader? Hazar's first release activated my MBP perfectly, however, as with Vista, I have a HUGE delay before actually booting into windows.

Like many other people here, I've been looking at this forum for the past two weeks and looking to see if any change was possible. I, personally, was thrilled that the activator worked - even with the +/- 40 second delay.

So, checking this thread tonight @ roughly 10:45 seeing that there is a new l**der that is working with Intel Macs is terrific?

Any possible way that I can get a PM to this new link? I'll be thrilled to see if this thing works, but I guess I won't believe it until I try it. ;)

Thanks everyone! Incredible hard work here, it's amazing!

Ditto ... I'm not exactly sure what takes so long to post a link.... I don't want to sound unappreciative, but you know... wait wait..

They probly want to make sure we all dont break our boot records when we use it. Im glad they are taking their time. When it comes out it will be awesome, because it will work ;)
