    The rule is very simple: if the site thinks that your device is able to run the Media creation tool, it offers it. If it thinks it can't, then it offers the ISO. In practical terms, if the site detects a browser running on Windows on a desktop PC, it offers the tool instead of ISO.

    Hence as others have stated, the following result in the ISO being offered: if you browse from
    - iOS, Android or Linux
    - smartphone or tablet
    - web browser that spoofs the user agent string (e.g. setting in Firefox on a Windows PC)

    Detection based on User-Agent String containing targeted Windows NT versions

    It seems to me that when it detects a User-Agent String that corresponds to an upgradable Windows version (Windows NT 6.1 | 6.2 | 6.3) it offers the Media Creation Tool, otherwise (Linux, Windows 10 et cetera) it offers direct links to ISO files.

    An easier option is to use a link without this "restriction":

    I was unable to install Win 8 & 8.1 because my Intel P4 did not support MX or something like that. Will I be able to install WIn 10?

    They match the hash from the msdn files. You just rename them.

    Dear Friends

    Windows 7/8.1/10 Enterprise will allow to download specified language pack from Windows Update or Control Panel?

    Are there any differences between installing Windows 7/8.1/10 Enterprise with specified language version and installing Windows 7/8.1/10 Enterprise English version and then downloading specified language pack? Will it be the same and downloading language pack will translate everything to specified language the same way as I would install Windows 7/8.1/10 Enterprise with specified language?

    I would be glad for you support.
