Over the last several months they've changed the Recycle Bin icon 3 times, and now it looks like something from Windows 95.
Those icons are drop dead gorgeous in my honest opinion. Does everyone spend all day looking at their icons? Go home you big titty babies.
Seems to be that the 'looking' of Icons is much more important than an secure OS!! And that's not about Icons only, to many just complaining about don't liked layouts! The perfection of the apps come just on second place for those!! Just, that looking good or not, is nothing else as just an personal matter! I didn't like what many others like and vice versa!
win 7 start orb looks better than this plain window shape doesnt look professional or futuristic/modern to me also, it is a bit of shock when first using win 10 and i felt like giving up, but once i installed chrome and had all my bookmarks working i started to forget about the icons and start menu. Alot of asethitics could be improved since as they say "first impressions matter" if microsoft listens to its customers and makes a solid system that can be tweaked and themes changed and menus changed easily then it would be good, i especially am looking forward to the pc reset/restore feature and if it works like apples time capsule then it will be excellent but at the moment it is not complete with all a few weeks to goto rtm.
if you can tell me how I can do that..? Truly would be great because am sick and tired of them bloody apps also moving me straight to the program list would suit me.. I find nothing more annoying these days to these app store crap what I find an inconvenient also they need to bring back gadgets but more modern feel to them and that would suit for windows desktop users?
QUOTE=maxb2000;1063406]Just remove all the tiles. That's exactly what I want to achieve but then the Start Menu doesn't open....for the live tiles has no use as long as the Start Menu is just an app launcher and the apps I just pin them to the taskbar like:mail, calendar, music, people, onenote and weather and sometimes the start menu is unresponsive.I still belive that Windows 7 start menu was the best and I hate that vertical scroling of the live tiles. [/QUOTE] Bingo sorted thanks
It's an option. An option broken since a couple of windows builds, that will be fixed when W10 will stabilize. I don't care about the "square" apps, anyway the start screen icon obviously opens the MS Start Menu in win 10. You can also set it to open with the Win key and CS with the button, or vice versa. Options, Options,Options, that's the way to go.
