orbit30's windows 7 toolkit 1.8 works???

    i just tried activating 7600 rtm using orbit30's windows 7 toolkit 1.8.

    seems like it works fine, my system status in control panel shows as activated, i have rebooted many times and its still activated.
    i don't see any timing or evaluation thing on my screen.

    (sorry after typing winver, it shows as evaluation copy with the expiry date)

    Good.
    Could you post a screenshot of your "winver.exe"?
    I mean run winver.exe and make a screenshot.

    ooh thnx so much ( how bout that winver screen tho please)

    Edit - Btw i know it may be a dumb question but does this only activate ultimate version.

    Is this tool working only for the ultimate version,does anyone try it in other builds like Professional?

    Yah, same here, expiry date :(

    activator uses tokens.dat from 7264

    i read somewhere about replacing the tokens etc in safe mode from this version and not the rc but im not 100% where or if it actually works but i have seen screens showing it worked.I also here some people say they get the eval and some dont so not sure.

    that was kind of a useless pst but just trying to help out :)

    You'll get activated, but your install turns into an eval, good for a year. You'll then have a watermark on your desktop, which you'll need to remove. Personally, I just installed '16385, and I'm going to hold tight for the time being.

    I have done the go into safemode and replace the tokens.dat file. It is still on the timer (that can never be changed as it is hardcoded into these versions of Win7, as soon as they pick the RTM they will remove this and make it the full version). I do not and never had the watermark before or after replaceing the file.
