sorry for the very late reply timesurfer:
but i think the error was mine, indeed i have Win7 RTM, but the 7264 version... i failed to see what installer im feeding *lol*
its all corrected now, and now im very sure that i have the 7600 version... and what i did was to apply the latest DAZ loader.. and its all fine now...

and i also got a question... is it ok to apply RemoveWAT 2.2_5 even after applying DAZ Loader? or i should only use one of them?!

    thanks!

what i did with the Update KB971033; is to HIDE it on the update lists.. i dunno if they (M$) will force it in, like install it without us knowing... but thats what i did... so far is didnt asked me again.

and i also didnt know if some similar updates are out there.... tho i havent tried verifying the authenticity of my OS.

Hi guys, bit of a situation here.

I used a faulty removerWAT22 earlier on. After 6 days of hard work i finally had all the trojans and s**t removed from the comp. Downloaded the version here from the forum and...
It doesnt work. I ran the .exe file and it says WAT was already removed. Which is odd cause my comp hasthe familiar 2hour run crash. So i thought hey, lets reinstall the WAT and then remove it again. After doing that its still in evaluation mode.
Why doesnt it work, and what could i do to make it work?

    Thanks in advance,

    Cove

RTM = Release to manufacturing. Its the finished version of windows.

You can get it there, yes. Be sure to format your hard drive and do a clean install

This is prolly one dumb q: If i format my harddrive and lose my windows copy, how can i upgrade it? Not completely getting the logic of this.

You don't. Upgrading from a pre-release to a final build is rarely a good idea. Or never.
    Do a clean install.

Upgrade I meant update not literally the upgrade function.

Format your HDD and install clean RTM

allright, i think that cleared it abit.
So when i format my HDD and not the partition the update is on i still am able to run the update. Next q: after i installed the update and the removeWAT22, i probably get the updates for windows including the KB971033 something update that blocks the WAT remover.
What do i have to do to avoid that?

Ok, so all i do is... Format HDD, reboot, mount the image, run setup, reboot, remove WAT, reboot, runs like a charm?
