[OUTDATED / UNSUPPORTED] RemoveWAT

Part 1: format HDD doesnt run, error: windows is installed on this, formatting this will likely make your computer inoperable.

Cant format HDD, what should i do next?

 

you don't mount the image you have to burn to dvd and boot from it.

 

Does external harddrive work aswell? Got no DVD's to burn around here. And tbh, never burned an ISO on a DVD before.

Hello, I'm using RemoveWAT 2.2.5 and i don't have the WAT update installed on my PC, but still , on the desktop appears the message (This copy of Windows is not Genuine). What should I do?

 

Maybe you have to rearm like it says in repository before use of removeWAT

Can you be more specific as to in what order you did things regarding window 7 install and all activation attempts and so on. Thanks

 

If a watermark appears on desktop the patching went wrong, in case a window pops up and tells u that win7 is not genuine it's very strange behavior. Anyway u can try the following:

1.) RestoreWAT
2.) Run

Code:

 sfc /scannow

from an elevated command prompt, wait until it has done its work and restart.
3.) Download latest RemoveWAT and apply again

How to tell if W7 is activeted after removewat ?

Hi all this is prolly a noob whine but.. I am running daz 1.7.7. With the Win7 from the repo. Installed networking and disabled install of the WAT update of death. Did an update and got everything it seems. Ran removewat ,now I am seariously confused. As removewat gets rid of the wat stuff in control panel, how can I tell if indows is activated and all. The fact that it's working could be accidental. (would be just my luck). I am playing around on a extra disk on a lenovo t42. If it's really working , ime really impressed.

 

Oh and by the way, I am typing this on the machine in question.

 

This is interesting!? You say your running daz 1.7.7 with the "repo" ISO. But your also running removeWAT. Just do one or the other. Sounds like you also hid the WAT update.

You are correct. I hid the WAT thing. If I understand you .. I don't need the loader (1.77) if I ran remove WAT ? I am guessing that the bloody OS will timeout on me without the loader is that right? Sorry to be such a chicken **** but W7 is SOO much better then VISTa I dont want to crush it if I can avoid it. Been noodling around all weekend on it.

 

Neo you just need to take the blue pill "daz loader" or the red pill "removeWAT"....lol
