Is it a forthcoming update. I have all win 7 64 ultimate updates upto date (except the offending one kb971033) and I have so far not faced any problem.

it all depends........... u can update ur from ms the only one that u can run with problems its the kb971033 but it all depends on which method u have activated ur windows...
some loaders have problems and some dont as far as i know haz and daz new loader are okay to work with the kb971033 good luck. ofcourse bios mod is another game

Christian u just need to go to control panel and unistall programs and click view installed updates on the right hand side. find kb971033 and uninstall and then go to windows update and hide it. you shouldn't have any problems. if that doesn't work. WHICH IT SHOULD. u can just update to removewat 2.2 and you will be good

someone prob posted it somewhere not knowing what they were talking about. the only one that anyone should worry about is kb971033 and all you have to do is go to windows update and hide it and not every worry about it again :)

    Time Bomb

I have been having some problems with the erratic time bomb.
    I'm running build:
    7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255

After the infamous windows update :) most of the stuff stopped working, windows activation nagging, time bomb, etc.

Finally found remotewat .... congrats hazar... u r the man

Installed version 2.2.5 and everything worked again.... except for the time bomb, still ON
Checked this forum yesterday and found version 2.2.5.2... so removed wat and activated it again with version 2.2.5.2 .... dam time bomb still ON

So today I removed the windows update kb971033 and have removewat ON.
Will let you guys know if this will fix the time bomb.... had the impression that removewat 2.2.5.2 would fix this problem even with kb971033 installed?!

This is why I am not even bothering to turn on windows update. I will wait till the SP1 and a fix for it and do it all at once.

That is an interesting approach to anti-pirate updates but I believe it's safe to install other important updates besides the WAT. So far all important updates minus the WAT have been successful for me and harmless.

    hi,

I just recently used the removeWAT and i successfully installed all the udpates... i noticed that the genuine logo was gone. tried to run sfc /scannow and after boot up, i saw the 30 days trial again. when i clicked on it i got the message below:

windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

    i also tried these commands..

    slmgr.vbs -rearm

    REG DELETE "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v DigitalProductId /f

    REG DELETE "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v DigitalProductId4 /f

    REG DELETE "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v ProductId /f

am i a genuine user of windows 7 ultimate 32 bit since i successfully installed all the updates though i didnt see the genuine logo?? and when i ran the mgadiag tools it says that iits genuine..... please advice.. hazar, you ROCKS..!!

    p.s.

i still encounter the automatic shut down...

    short history
i activated the windows 7 ultimate edition and it was genuine not until the WAT came up...

    Hello,

I just used REMOVEWAT sucessfully (I think) on a clean install of Windows 7 Professional. I would like to upgrade to Ultimate. Is there a way to do this?
