    hi,

I just recently used the removeWAT and i successfully installed all the udpates... i noticed that the genuine logo was gone. tried to run sfc /scannow and after boot up, i saw the 30 days trial again. when i clicked on it i got the message below:

windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

    i also tried these commands..

    slmgr.vbs -rearm

    REG DELETE "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v DigitalProductId /f

    REG DELETE "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v DigitalProductId4 /f

    REG DELETE "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v ProductId /f

am i a genuine user of windows 7 ultimate 32 bit since i successfully installed all the updates though i didnt see the genuine logo?? and when i ran the mgadiag tools it says that iits genuine..... please advice.. hazar, you ROCKS..!!

    p.s.

i still encounter the automatic shut down...

    short history
i activated the windows 7 ultimate edition and it was genuine not until the WAT came up...

    Hello,

I just used REMOVEWAT sucessfully (I think) on a clean install of Windows 7 Professional. I would like to upgrade to Ultimate. Is there a way to do this?

    Hi to all!
Sorry, for a silly question, maybe, but I haven't got time to read all 200+ posts. Im thinking to get the latest WATremover to better protect my Win against M$ ;), but, first I need to be sure the following: I have just installed the recent win loader by DAZ v1.7.7 and activated my win ultim x86. Now, to run properly and keep windows as genuine, should I uninstal the loader first to use that WATremover ? Need it be removed that installed cert and activation key as well?

Can someone tell me this? Many thnx
    :)

to pgalko: umm well if you are using daz and its genuine u don't have to use removewat. if u want to use removewat i suggest uninstalling daz but i don't think its needed because they work almost completely different. as u will notice i tend to push removewat because it has been very sucessful everytime i have had to use it (about 6). so its really up to you, hope this helps

    Hi,

New to the forum, but I installed Win 7 Ultimate about 2 months ago, and used removewat, and never had any problems. I am doing a manual Windows Update, and I can't see KB971033 being offered in the list. Any idea why? Ought I be worried?

    Cheers,

    M...

well it should come up. it already came up on mine. but if your doing manual u might have to install a update before it shows up. if it installs and u miss it u can always go back and uninstall so i wouldn't worry to much.

    So, the problem is:
Should I stay [at the Loader] or should I go [with WATremover] now?
If I go there will be trouble
An’ if I stay it will be double
So come on and let me know!...

The question is: if I stay at the win loader, I might need to avoid that security update KB971033 installation to does keep windows system functioning as genuine, doesn't it?

So far, I have clean system from this update and never installed it.
    Regards

Pgalko: if you use removewate 2.1 or before you will need to avoid kb971033 but if you use removewat 2.2 u most likley won't. but whatever you use i would avoid installing that update its evil. basically its this USE removewat. although the loader is good its more likely that windows will destory it later. either way keep away from kb971033

Loaders are based on a Boot sector MBR modification. After that installation of DAZ loader Ive set in BIOS sttings to protect those modifications in future against writing to. Will it help anyway from any tempering by M$? It might be vital to protect the loader in that MBR not only against M$ freaky updates but viruses as well :)

    I did this:

clean install of win7 > installed all available win updates automatically > used removeWAT 2.2.4.

KB971033 is listed under my installed windows updates, and the WAT have been removed completely by removeWAT.

Everything seems to be working fine, for now, so I assume you are correct and version 2 and on work with KB970133, at least mine is.

Ok, let me get this right. If i'm with windows 7 loader version 1.7.7 by Daz, will i encounter problems with this kb971033 update?? I've already checked and i don't have this windows update yet and my windows 7 professional x64bit is currently activated with the loader and it's "genuine". Should i remove the loader and try this whole new removeWat program or should i stay with the loader? Is it 100% sure if i download this new update from windows update when it comes, that i will have problems???? Thanks guys.

    You DO NOT install kb971033.

    Do NOT uninstall the loader.

Do NOT use Windows Update, get updates MANUALLY.

    do what miclan says or

    You Do Not Install kb971033.

    Do Uninstall the loader

    Then Install removewat 2.2

either way its totally up to you. i just don't trust the loaders. an update or sp1 is going to come out and s**t on everyones parade and then they will figure out that they just shouldh ave used removewat. its the safest and easiest way to go.

Windows Update is currently set to check only for updates and prompt me to download them, so no problem with automatic updates. What is this new update which has to screw loaders?? If i miss to download it, will i lose something important or have issues after with the windows??? Will my windows be genuine if i install removewat 2.2, i need to know this, cause i'm doing it on a new sony vaio lap top for my girlfriend.

ok first come down killer. second i didn't say that there was an update that was going to screw the loaders i just said that at some point there will be. if you are seriously that worried about it i suggest uinstalling loader and using removewat 2.2. and make sure that u don't download 971033. removewat is the best one to have that u don't have to keep worrying about which sounds like it is perfect for you. nothing worse then ur g/f being mad at you cause u fail.
