just a quick question which im sure has already been answered but i havent seen on here, i ran removewat the other day the file just says removewat22.zip which i downloaded off the link on the first page of this thread so not sure if its the most uptodate version or not, but anyway everthing seemed to be fine, all the links to activate from the windows information screen and control panel are gone but the last couple of days, maby once a day i get the little icon in the system tray with the timer saying i need to activate in 25days. is this sort of normal and i should ignore it or is that likely to cause a problem?

Hazar's WAT easy for MS to detect and destroy ???

Yes Hazar, I agree that it works and works perfectly. For that I am very grateful.

    1) However, I am concerned about what system files it alters/deletes/damages. I recently received a Huge Cautionary about using this from someone who knows more than I do.
    2) I also hear that WAT and RWAT are the easiest for MS to find and kill.
    3) As a precautionary I have therefore set my Updates to Download but Not Install until I first view them, something I always did to avoid that lovely "Genuine Advantage" check but forgot to in this case.

    Kindly let me know.

I'd go back and delete your e-mail if I was you:)

Well, every last measure is taken "behind the scene" to ensure the users are best protected. The program will also be constantly adapted should any problems arise.

No Hazar, I'll thank you now. Much appreciate. I typically leave my email on forums and have met some really knowledgeable and helpful people that way.

But, you're right. 'Tis a dangerous world out there.

Do what I do dude. Make an email for all online activity like this devoted to a spam type email that way you don't give out your primary email to anyone dude. For example my email I give everyone is [email protected] but that is not my main email and I rarely even check it lol

I think MS have updated their Validation and perhaps WAT technologies??

One of my Win7 Ultimate machines uses Win Loader 1.7 and up until now this was verified as genuine using the MS Windows Genuine Advantage Validation page - now it doesn't.

My other Win7 Ultimate machine uses Remove WAT 2.25 and again this used to report back as genuine using the MS Windows Genuine Advantage Validation page - now it also doesn't.

Has MS changed things in the last few days?

Every time you validate online you allow them to update the WAT platform, Also, every time you validate you send them information on whatever you happen to be using which helps advance their signatures.

OK I've reimaged both machines back to the pre-validation state :)

So I guess what you're saying is that as long as I don't validate my Win 7 using the MS Windows Genuine Advantage Validation page then I'll be OK as long as I don't go near any "WAT updates"

    Is that right?

I've just used the RemoveWat from Hazar's download link and it worked for my Windows 7 Ultimate- 32bit. No Black wallpaper and no notification from Microsoft to get genuine copy:) The bottom right corner doesn't have the watermark anymore- in short the issue is fixed.

Thanks guys and Hazar for the solution..

I've installed a fresh x86 version today, no loaders, activators, etc. Ran RemoveWAT before downloading any updates. It removed the activation and installed the fake 971033 update. After that I ran Windows update to install remaining updates. The original 971033 remained apparently cause the publisher field for it is blank. But here some 6 hours later I got non-genuiine message after running notepad, mspaint, calc, etc. The activation info in sys props is still not there however.
ALso, running non OS included apps doesn't show the non-genuine pop-up. Will monitor further and report tomorrow.

i will recommend to forget about the removewat and instead use daz or hazar loader. so start from a clean version and after installing W7 install the loader and change the setting for updateing ur MS so it would let u choose which update to install and which to download then make all the updates except for the kb971033 and uncheck this update. u should be in the clear after this

I think hazar said that he no longer is working on his loader and actually advised people to use daz's. And you can actually right click and hide that update also:)
