Hazar tool you'll never have to be active with it like you do with mine so it's a simpler method kinda. Of course like any tool he might update it and you'll just install his latest

Is it something that M$ can 'overwrite' through updates?

I'm not afraid of an 'active' solution. I'm not trying to start a flame-war or anything, what give-and-takes are there b/t the two solutions?

Yea we all get whacked by MS sometimes. Some believe BIOS mod is solid method that MS can't whack. This latest removeWAT has been working for quite a while now.

How is this safer than bootloader-solutions like nononsense's WindSLIC or WoW7?
Won't this actually modify files in Windows (that could then easily be replaced or reversed by MS updates), while the bootloaders merely patch a SLIC into memory, tricking Windows into believing it comes from the BIOS, without actually altering any Windows components aside from the bootloader which doesn't even run once Windows is booted?

Safe might apply that this doesn't need to reboot to work hence no boot loop, dual boot or start up problems. Otherwise I'm uncertain what safer implies? And I believe this is a patch or part patch

it won't brick your bootsector, not even a slight chance. Also is completely intolerant of bootup configs as its all done in windows. Its safer as its entirely windows based.

Ok, so it has no probability of making the machine unbootable (not that that is generally much of a worry with a newly installed OS), but in theory it should be far easier for MS to break via updates, or am I wrong?

Look at post #2 in my thread, you have a bit of a cleanup job to do before the loader will work if RemoveWAT was installed previously.

I'm having some problems with the watermark in the lower right corner.
Everything seems to be working fine, but the watermark is still there. I don't believe it's actually working because of this, I don't know if I can download updates though.

    I just switched from 2.2.4 to 2.2.5.

Doesn't seem to change anything. The watermark is still there :(
    I am getting updates, though.

I am not sure if you have been flaged by microsoft as non-geniune. I have the same issue previously.
Is your copy of windows 7 preactivated?? If it is by any chance it was preactivated by BIE??

I cant remember what was the identical hidden file created by BIE in the root. But normally BIE will leave an uninstall and install exe in somewhere here windows>system32 >setup >script.
