I can't as far as I know. Microsoft website says I can't be validated :(
No idea, sorry. I started with the release candidate then activated it months ago and updated to to the final build, so I would guess not. There are no install/uninstall files in my system32 folder.

If it matters, I used 2.2.4 to restore WAT, restarted, and then launched 2.2.5.
I've also tried using Daz's Wat fix before using removeWAT 2.2.5, but the results were no different from before.
The update I have pending is also for Windows Defender.

No idea about update version of windows 7. Perhaps you can try to check the host file also for the validation issue.
    Go windows>system32>drivers>etc
Open host file with notepad and check if this line is there.
    "127.0.0.1 mpa.one.microsoft.com"
If there is, back up the host file, then erase "127.0.0.1 mpa.one.microsoft.com" and save the changes. revalidate again and see.

    Wow this has been stickied!

    Cool.

Anyways guys we're moving fast towards a new release to fix the uninstall issues for those who want to use another method and also passing the WAT update :)

    Hi!

I've installed removedWAT at a Windows 7 x64 and have really sincere problems. Since I rebooted more than 90% of my apps won't work (except for IE and the Terminal). Every other application i try to start tells me
    "Application Error.
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application."
I also checked if the .NET Framework is up to date, which it is.
Can please somebody help me, I even cannot restore, because i can't execute the restore programm.

    Thanks

There was a version with that fault that only existed for about three hours.

Please run sfc /scannow as admin and redownload the newest one from the first post.

Well, there is no changelog included by Hazar, so it is pretty much difficult to say...

U should download from the first page and check the version info by right-clicking on the RemoveWAT.exe inside the archive ~ it should be 2.2.5.2

I'm using 2.2.5.2 (it's been installed for a few weeks)
As of yesterday, the "this copy of windows is not genuine watermark" is appearing. Never had this before since I first applied removewat.
My most recently installed windows update was kb981793 on may 26th. Could this be an issue?
