[OUTDATED / UNSUPPORTED] RemoveWAT

Ok, so since RemoveWAT is not working, why is it not marked on the first post? We have to read through 285 pages to find it out...People are getting confused, you know...

 

Who said it was not working?? Works for me.

 

It only works as long as u do not validate online.. but this has been written may time before.

 

That's true!! But it still works. You get your updates, so what more is needed.

 

Is there a way to remove the "Activate Windows Now" taskbar notification that pops up every hour? It gets annoying when I'm watching a movie or playing a game in full screen and the popup kicks in. Other than that, updates and everything else works fine.

 

Correct, and this is exactly my point, in order to learn this fact you have to read through this topic. Such things should be in big red letters at original post...

 

I've never had this issue, and most of the other people using removeWAT haven't either. Maybe you should have a better look at those 285 pages to find the solution.

Quick question from me..
Windows is telling me im not genuine!

I cant use RemoveWAT 2.2.5 because of the error saying "Access is denied to Path..." so I wanna try Daz's Windows Loader, BUT... My PC is a custom built PC, and I noticed in the "Options"-tab that only brands (Dell, Acer, Asus etc.) is on the list.

So will it even work with on a custom built? I wouldn't want it to use some file for Dell on my custom, and then everything crashes...

Is my files tampered/tempered? I dont know what that means.
I was logged in as Admin when using RemoveWAT. It did work on my brothers PC not a week ago (after a fresh format) - so im not sure what's blocking its access on mine.

Im gonna try Daz's Loader. Although I'd first really love to know what you meant with tampered/tempered, in case I have to do something before I use it.

Is there any risk using it? (..a risk that would lead into a format!)

 

What he means is basically have you ever used any other type of loader or activation on your system? Daz loader and RemoveWAT depend on all original files to be inplace. If they are not you can/will get an error when trying to use them. Using a clean and untouched version as if it came right from M$ themselves's is the best way to go!!

 

I cant tell, as I dont know where all files are and cant really check. I did use RemoveWAT from when I formated it (5-6 months ago) - now its back, im guessing an update put it back up. RemoveWAT doesn't give me an error because of missing files, but because of access denied. I've got nothing to loose than trying Daz.

 

Are you using the newest version of RemoveWatt v2252 ??
Are you using a clean copy of Win7 ???
If you go to Daz loader then in his second post is how to replace the files that RemoveWat has taken out!! They have to be there or again you can/may get an error again!!

So does this mean that you still get updates, but there's some sort of pop-up? I install my updates manually, I don't know how this update got installed. Microsoft must have added it in one of the security updates

 

Usually I hear of no pop-up with RW and you can update all except WAT update I believe
