[OUTDATED / UNSUPPORTED] RemoveWAT

I know the feeling and funny my OS is the only thing I haven't reinstalled...lol

I think Hazar is probably working on better uninstaller as we speak as to eliminate any complaints from people going from one tool to another

What causes the popup? I'm one of the unfortunate ones who do get the popup every hour. Is there any way to remove it, perhaps by switching from RemoveWAT to Daz's or something like that?

 

When you are actually activated like a loader you don't get pop ups...lol

RW does not activate but I didn't get pop-up my self when I used RW

 

Well it's probably you already flagged as non-genuine. I was having the same issue last time when I was using BIE. Even I have uninstalled BIE and apply removeWAT again my systme still has the watermark and nag screen. Convert into using Daz's Windows loader solved my issue.

 

Ahh ok, yeah I was flagged as non-genuine before I used removeWAT, i don't get the watermark and I can get updates, it's only the hourly nag popup that disrupts my full-screen movie or game when it happens. Guess I'll try to switch to Daz's and hope it solves my problem. Thanks guys.

I've used Hazar's tool, Remove WAT (v2.2). Works great... except one thing. After installation, I cannot change the default theme (the one with black background, solid color). I can change windows appearance (from Window Color and Appearance option) but not the theme too.
Does anyone have ideas about the problem? Thanks in advance

 

It sounds like you may have a similar issue to freyagoddess, in that your system has been flagged as non-genuine? Maybe double check you haven't got windows7 starter edition also.. I know that restricts desktop image changes..

Timesurfer, would running InfiniteRearm on a flagged non-genuine system before installing removeWAT reset it to trial mode, and remove this and the pop-up problems?

 

If you successfully uninstall whatever tool your using and go back to trial you will get pop-up. We disabled all nags with IR4 code. I don't know a lot about RW other than it worked when I used it. I also don't understand why you get pop-up if you have latest RW

Yeah, I was flagged as non-genuine too, before using RW. Not sure about that, but I think I received after Win7 install (Ultimate edition, not Starter) a message like "Your trial period has expired". Windows can update, no nagscreens or pop-ups annoy me but I can't change the bloody theme.
I'm thinking to try InfiniteRearm and RemoveWAT afterwards... hope nothing goes wrong.

 

1. Is the download on post #1 of this thread always updated, so it is always the latest version?
2. Can I always use the latest version to UNINSTALL an earlier version of removeWAT?

 

Does this mean that if I ever want to uninstall RemoveWAT, it will undo *ALL* the changes? As in, I won't be required to run "WatFix" provided by Daz to restore all the files?

 

I've installed and used IR4, but after system restart, step no. 6 won't occur.

Any other suggestions?

Hey Lastun, did you try running Daz's "WatFix" before infinite rearm? This will clean up the WAT properly, and may allow infinite rearm to do its thing. Otherwise, hang out for v2.2.5. Shouldn't be too long now!
