Hello people. Im new in this forum. So, I'm writing this because i first installed Win7 and used RemoveWAT a few months ago, I can't remember which version but it worked really well (thanks Hazar). But like since last week an update was installed and now an annoying "register key had expired" message displays everytime my computer starts. I've tried the last version of RemoveWAT and it says "wat removed" but the annoying validation message keeps appearing. Im using win7 ultimate 64 bits. And these are the most recent updates I've installed:
    *Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB915597 (Definition 1.85.1218.0) [‎02/‎07/‎2010 09:11 p.m.]
    *Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB915597 (Definition 1.85.1476.0) [05/‎07/‎2010 02:40 p.m.]
    *Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB915597 (Definition 1.85.1714.0) [08/‎07/‎2010 05:01 p.m.]
    *Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB915597 (Definition 1.85.1905.0) [‎12/‎07/‎2010 05:56 p.m.]
    *Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB976422) [12/‎07/‎2010 05:58 p.m.]

So if anyone could help me, that would be great.

    Dear forum readers,

My apologies if the following offends; I had to voice what has been bothering me about this application since it was introduced late last year, even if it means that this is my first and last post at MDL.

Long time reader, first time poster. With all due respect...this is a questionable way to circumvent activation, in my humblest of opinions. The word "safer" in the tagline made me chuckle. This is not what could be considered 'safe" by any stretch of the informed imagination. It removes/alters system files, and will be crippled/rendered ineffective by the first service pack, due in the not so distant future. In addition, it has been flagged as a virus by MSE, and other notable antivirus software. There are far better ("safer") alternatives available that do not cannibalize your OS install just to cheat Mr. Gates out of a few dollars. If your OS install longevity/stability is important to you, avoiding this "solution" might be in your best interest.

The preceding was my opinion, and my opinion only. Others who visit/post here might, quite obviously, feel differently than I do.

Safer implies it doesn't brick the bootsect. That is all Hazar meant by that Post title. When this concept was first posted some loaders were still causing restart problems so I believe Hazar was responding to that issue with his solution at least never causing boot issues

    How times have changed ;)

He might want to consider changing the title though, "RemoveWAT - A different solution". As it doesn't really activate the user, it just makes the system act dumb towards activation (minus WAT).

You're a moderator, Daz. How about you change it for him?

"RemoveWAT - A different solution that makes your system act dumb"

Do you think Hazar will mind? :p

Hi guys, ive come here for some help, i used RemoveWAT some time ago, maybe 5-6 mnths ago, since i removed it i turned off ALL updates (just to be safe)

Windows 7 has been running great the whole time, today i booted up and i have the msg in my corner saying "Windows 7 build 7600 this copy of windows is not genuine" however im not getting the "nag" screen at bootup.

Ive tried restoring WAT and removing again but i still have the nag in the bottom right, how did this come about after 5-6 mnths with no updates?

anyone got a work around, thanks for any help guys.

If you want to use a pure Software Solution I recommend Chew7, otherwise try IR4 or use a slic emulator like ODIN or a loader e.g Daz Loader

ok I assume it must be an earlier one or something wrong with your 7 install as to date my rwat vm which I fire up frequently is still working (sorry secr, didn't mean to offend or anything)

Please try reinstalling 7 and downloading from the first link again
