I tried ODIN but still the same, this also happened to 2 of my friends in the last couple of days? they have different versions of Windows 7 also. I dont really want to reinstall over the top of the current OS, ill just leave the msg in the corner i think for now.
Yeah, the same happened to me. Isn't there a way to recover the WAT? I mean, I removed my WAT like 5 months ago, now I've tried the latest version and the options is greyed out. The only solution is to reinstall my Win7 then? :S
Kinda sounds presumptuous that you think all people think that...lol I mean their popular so that's a given that peeps are gonna think of them first and they are both good solutions...lol
Too True but I'm trying to open peoples minds that they are not the only solutions however popular they may be... Popularity should have no business in this it should be well there are other hacks I guess I can try those too... I also rubbed that fact in on one thread a few minutes ago...
Hi hazar, i would know if after installation i have to remove automatic windows upgrade, or i can leave it without problems....thanks!!!
Yea but it refreshes/reinstalls in like minutes. The "perfect" approach to an solution is really non-existent since with MS anything can happen if they choose to implement a change that affects the activation concepts. I mean I've watched people spend Hours upon hours upon days even weeks worrying and investigating what's the best or perfect and in reality spending a couple minutes 2x a year is actually much less time wasted...lol Truly the best solutions are the one's that never harm your computer and leave your system as "untouched" as possible
Games not working Hey y'all! My mom told me today that the windows 7 default games aren't working since 3-4 weeks ago, when I got the update and I had to use RemoveWat to get rid of the problems. I'm not sure if this is what caused the games to not work, but I'm wondering if it's possible and if anyone else has had this problem(didn't have time to look through all pages). Another thing: if this isn't the problem, any ideas? And...is there any method of re-activating my windows? RESTORing the WAT, and using an activator didn't work a moth ago. Maybe I didn't use a good activator or smth...some help?
hi Hazar, Uptil now, i was using RemoveWAT 2.2.5 to ensure that my windows 7 ultimate (6.1 build 7600) remains activated. But today, without installing any new updates/software, my machine went to the black background with the popup 'this copy of windows is not genuine'. and now it comes up everytime at startup. when i run removewat 2.2.5, it still shows that wat has been removed and gives me the option to restore wat. what shud i do? shud i restore and rerun removewat 2.2.5? or has my copy of windows, without any new updates, found a way to bypass it? plz help. thanx, in advance. EDIT: the only change i made is a hardware one wherein i removed my external pci-e nvidia 9400gt graphics card and set the auto detection mode in the bios to 'internal graphics' my external card is spoilt so ive given it for repairs and currently on the internal onboard graphics. hope this helps.
Wow. I am so impressed with this bit of software. for now this is perfect. I have only one small niggle.... I still get the "not genuine" prompt when starting included app's such as notepad, write, calc, etc. Not a big problem at all but contrary to the original post. Im wondering if I have done something wrong. I am using build 7600, which had been updated almost fully before the previous crack I had used failed. Nothing Im too concerned about but if anyone knows an easy fix to get rid of the nags Id appreciate it. Thanks again all who had involvement in wrting this tool
