Hey Hazar, I read somewhere that you're working on a new version for removeWAT. So I've put off installing your great program for a month or so now. Is there a new release soon or should I not worry about it and install anyway? Thanks
RW and BIOS are not dependent on eachother for RW to work @fad3d RW install WAT then patches or disables WAT @Soulie I only heard he said once he was working on new uninstaller so I'm curious too when a new build will present itself.
One short question... by which CLI I will be able to uninstall this? Code: takeown /f %windir%\System32\Wat\WatAdminSvc.exe icacls %windir%\System32\Wat\WatAdminSvc.exe /deny *S-1-1-0:F
Just run this in cmd takeown /f %windir%\System32\Wat\WatAdminSvc.exe icacls %windir%\System32\Wat\WatAdminSvc.exe /grant *S-1-1-0:F
Hmm I used this and it's been working no problem for about a month/month and a half now and suddenly I'm getting the please activate windows thing. I don't think I've made any changes, and when I open up the tool to run it again it still says it's installed. Am I supposed to activate it and it just passes or what?
did anyone find that if you dont update thru windows update first prior to using removewat225, then updating stalls when you try to shutdown after just updating? clear? lol or am i doing wrong? i understand that one of the recent updates might affect removewat?
help!! hey guys i used removewat recently and now it wont stop trying to run everytime i start my computer, it just pops up and asks permission to run, when i deny it, it pops up again once i deny it goes away untill i restart, ive found the source of the file it apparently replicated itself in my appdata/local folder and everytime i try to delete it just replicates itself. can anyone help mer to delete it or find which program is causing it to run? my system specs are amd 64 x2 6000+ 4 gig ram win 764bit ultimate thanks in adanced
Where did you download RW from???? Sounds like you have an affected one. The one on the first page is clean!!
I see that Microsoft has released a lot of updates (11) on 10th Aug 2010. Is it safe to apply them with WAT removed ? Anyone already tried to install every update with WAT removed? Thanks dado
what happens when using sfc /scannow ? what should happen when using command sfc /scannow ? i tried and at next restart win7 says that i use a non-genuine copy of windows 7 with watermark in right bottom corner and ms security essentials claims that in 30 days without registration will be expired, REMOVEWAT last version is installed and i restored wat today then removed it again after restart and everything back genuine, please tell me if sfc /scannow had replaced some important wat files that were changed by removewat, i don't understand. afterward last wrong thing remained in windows was the watermark and i removed it with a utility found in internet, a watermark remover specific for my version of win7. then i found kb971033 win update installed and i didn't know why, because i uninstalled it before, then i uninstalled it again. now is all correct with removewat.
Finally Found your program i was sick of frequent activation problems even though i was running genuine Windows 7 no WAT doesnt even exist thanks
Well I have used this great hazar remove WAT tool in 3 machines since it came out. It has worked great until yesterday. MS has caught on and now nags me to download a fix to the WAT on my pc and claims it has been modified. Of course it has been modified, I just want the nags to go away! Anyone have any clue? Thanks!!
