Possibly true but consider, Torrents are also just about the best place for picking up malicious malware, so while it my be easier than swapping activation methods it may not be the safest or best option.
Very smart to use antivirus programs downloaded from torrents site then...like MSE etc...so if you has to trust a AV, I hope you use a free version or have actually paid for it, not pirated that also.
months ago i had 7loader and now i have removewat ,i have installed mse months ago and now works normally with its updates. i don't know if u can install mse with removewat, i had it since i had 7loader.
OK, here's me with the results. I installed RemoveWAT about 31 days ago but I kept quiet about it because I wanted to see how it works, that's why you couldn't see me. Everything went well, or better, well until the grace time was expired. This has happened now. I lost 1 Rearm (I'm on 3 now) and License Status is on "Notification". I restored WAT again and now I'm back with nag screens. Maybe it's because I'm using Win7 Ultimate N ? (Since RemoveWAT is not based on SLIC stuff as other solutions, it SHOULD not matter I say.) I even noticed that yesterday in my event logs, which I check quite often to see if everything is OK. So my results are: RemoveWAT only worked well in removing the nag screens "Activate now" and stuff, but did *NOT* work for me to get License Status to Licensed !!! It even decreased my rearm count. I don't think that I did anything "wrong". Partial Product Key: 97J8Q License Status: Notification Notification Reason: 0xC004F009 (grace time expired) Remaining Windows rearm count: 3 I'll now change to Ultimate WITHOUT N and try the Daz loader, since this one obviously did NOT work. Removing nag screens is cosmetics; but having notifications that I'm in "notification period" again does not justify the installation of this tool... Thanks anyway Hazar for your hard work which apparently does work for many (although some probably did not check their event logs yet whether they're INDEED in "Licensed" status"!) For no obvious reason, Hazar renamed the 'slmgr.vbs' to 'slmgr.vbs.removewat' (though it seemed to be necessary?) Whatever, I had to copy this script to another partition, rename it to 's.vbs' (I'm lazy) and execute it there with the -dlv option (Retrieve data only, don't write anything. Ought to be safe.)
from event viewer -> custom views -> administrative events is written 'warning winlogon Windows is in Notification period.' what that means? how long is the notification period? what will happens in my system after the notification period will be over? pheraps is only a message in the log without consequences, remember removewat has removed all the wga/wat so what will happens? is normal with removewat enabled having these messages in event viewer? "Windows is in Notification period." "License Activation Scheduler (sppuinotify.dll) failed with the following error code: 0x80070005" what will happens after the notification period?
here is a comparison with slmgr -dlv : removewat: license status: notification ,notification reason: 0XC004F057 remaining win rearm count: 3 win7 loader: license status: licensed , remaining win rearm count: 3 and with win7loader from microsoft.com/genuine/ (using ie8) is genuine.
Sure, I've never checked this before, and yes I did find the error message in event log. Is removeWAT only treating the symptom (nag screens), and not the cause? And why is it an issue since windows works well anyway?
You have to prove that i switched to win7loader yesterday ie8 is unsafe i don't use it i use firefox especially for logins and passwords.
Fix: 1.Open RemoveWAT, close all programs and then click "Restore WAT"/"Remove WAT" - let it reboot (auto). 2.Open RemoveWAT and repeat once again untill you get "Remove WAT" then execute it as the final one. NOTE:while doing this your anti-virus will prompt access permissions to the internet for removeWAT.exe, allow it temporarily then block it's access from the internet so that the embedded trojan will be useless. [or] just block it completely via windows firewall it connects to 96.28.136.171 on port 49916..that must be the trojan's server..who cares anyway. Reason for this problem:Windows media player's automatic update, which cannot be disabled physically.Disable windows media center if possible(wont be a problem for now).
you know for sure? he could be caught red-handed now PS. Although I have NOT witnessed removewat itself, windows is accessing something or other over the internet, which cannot be turned off unless u want your internet cut off as well
He is a moderator here and it think it's shunned on for moderators to include trojans in their win 7 solutions...lol Have some respect he was the first guy to activate win 7 I believe so even though RW has some uninstall issues it does work as an solution p.s. I believe RW dl's the WAT update then disables it buy patch or deletion of some files. I'm uncertain exactly but there's no trojan
