    Hello, I signed up for the forum specifically to ask this question. I recently installed removeWAT on another computer just to see if it worked. (it did) But, suddenly, msconfig is blank. no startup entries. I double checked in another program, and the same. Is this the result of the actions taken by the program? It happened on a fresh install of windows 7.

    I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my Toshiba Satellite laptop. I the product key screen appear, I uncheck the box and continue to Windows. Since my original OS on the Toshiba Satellite is Windows Vista Home Premium, I can't find a key for Toshiba to install. I would like to know if I can use any OEM key from other brand name manufacturer such as Dell, Sony, HP, etc., to install and use RemoveWAT to activate Windows. Is this possible? Or what step do I need to take to make this work for me. Please advise! Thank you.

    I would try Daz loader first before, RemoveWAT, only use RemoveWAT as a last resort. You could aslo request a bios mod if you prefer that.

    Hi!
    I've got a question.
    I've already used RemoveWAT tool with windows7 and everything seems OK, no popups about activation etc....but Everest (system information) says: Product Activation (WPA) Required (15 days remaining)

    So, hence my question: What should I do?? Forget about it and not to worry? Or maybe use something else??? Please help....

    Thank you...so far so good;)

    But what about windows "....1033" update?
    Should I be careful not to install that update or the loader deals with that?

    I think it's time for some explanation and clarification of RemoveWAT and the Windows Loader.

    1. RemoveWAT does what it says, it removes (actually disables) Windows Activation Technologies, it does not activate windows. It's much like ignoring the Non-Genuine Popup at logon and the Non-Genuine watermark in the bottom right hand corner. Windows is NOT activated it just appears to be.

    2. Windows Loader depends on Windows Activation Technologies (WAT) working correctly and this is the problem for people who try the loader after using RemoveWAT. Windows Activation Technologies no longer functions correctly and will not activate your Windows even though the Loader has worked 100% correctly. Therefore once you have a correctly functioning Windows after using the loader and correcting any issues left after uninstalling RemoveWAT you can install all the updates you like, even KB971033. Also, Windows IS activated.

    I hope everything is clear now.

    Extra note:

    Many release groups have taken RemoveWAT and added it to their install media giving the appearance of a fully activated Windows Installation.
    This is no fault of Hazar's at all. I want to also make that clear.

    How did you activate Windows, and where did you get your copy from?

    I would like to go on record about the current version of RemoveWAT.

    Hazar is busy with things and to help I have explained how to fix his version when uninstalling. As proof that my changes work I created a version with the fixes. Hazar has made this available while he finds time to correct his master source. I do not take responsibility for any consequences of using my version which is reverse engineered. Should problems arise with my version I would hope that Hazar makes time available to correct his master version.

    @the.betrayer

    RemoveWAT is known to be flagged as MalWare by M$. Please read earlier threads.

    @arnold12

    No thanks for me? :(:mad:
