My answer, to each his own. Let the users decide which is more important. It is simple really, to fix Windows' problems or not fix the problems. If your activation is "dodgy", you should try better methods. Code: Life's lesson: Don't click [Apply] unless you know how to undo.
Sooo um like randomly i started getting the nag windows not genuine when i right clicked on a bat file and selected edit which opened notepad.. i've restarted my comp plenty of times since i used removewat1.7.. i restarted after the nag and it stopped.. just wondering if anyone else has experienced this yet it was there and then it was gone again.. like wtf lol
How could it be a myth if it is documented and I have used it. You can google the Vista registry rearm trick and see for yourself. Im not making it up Anyway, more to the point I was wondering how Napalum does this in Windows 7...
I must say that I have the same popup message too and when this message appears I reboot PC and the messages gone, but I don't know for how long?
I suspected this would happen, but no worries I've always got an alternative up my sleeve I'll have a new version out soon Sorry about so many new versions, I just want to get it right.
Well if you want that update yes, because it will not install with removewat installed. You can always uninstall removewat, install the update then reinstall it at a later date.
Yes, of course. From above v1.7 IMPORTANT! READ THIS!.txt, it says MAKE SURE TO INSTALL KB974431 FIRST BEFORE PATCHING
I've just tested the new version on two machines. X32 Ultimate Eng and X64 Ultimate Hun. Both were succesfull, updates are coming. Genuine validation passed during the installation of MSE. Thak you Hazar!
Brilliant! Did you install the update as described before patching? And are you getting any nag screens?
First I installed all the KB974431, then I ran the patch, and finally I let the system check for new updates. It'has found some new uptades, then i was very happy, BUT now i tried to install them but it doesn't work. It is in a newerending loop: installing updates - restart - failed update install - reastart - failed update instal....... etc I think all the updates must install without the patch, not only the KB974431. But at least the nag screens disappeared! Hey! lol the neverending loop has just ended! And it is all right but the KB974455 is not installed. Now I try to undo the patch and istall it and then patch again....
