This was the first time I tried any method, I installed ver. 1.7 yesterday, and just now it told me I was a victim of s/p... I reversed the settings now and I'm back to about 10 days left to activate. Looking forward to ver. 10 ___
    I hope that will work..

So i know that sppsvc is the source of the activation problem.. But sorry to tell you this you are moving in the wrong direction. Disabling the sppsvc actually brings more problems that it solves because this is a crucial service in the system protection.. When you disable sppsvc windows can't recognize any licence and this causes serious problems with windows update and all the protection checking from windows in various programs.. Windows can't live properly without sppsvc.exe.. Please go in the right direction... And I just want to tell, when you make a release please make it when you are sure enough that it will work... Because a lot of people love what you do and they are able to format over and over again just to "test" your unsure releases, then they are disappointed... And what do you say as always.??" this problem should be solved in the next release" always the same story..and i dont how much hours is left to see a succession of remove wats to be released..pfft..

then sppsvc should be patched with a hex editor instead of disabling it?

Nah I'm going to leave sppsvc alone. It is too integral to mess with.

If all people who know how to do that work together and take their time it's possible I think. Try to get some people who want to test in vmware (including me), just take a snapshot of a clean install and you can test and restore in less than 10mins.

With this tool do I need to have already activated 7 with a loader before using this tool? Do I need to put a product key somewhere if I haven't used loader?

I think he is, you don't need key or loader cause you're removing the things that need a kay and you're removing the things that a loader will fool.

Plz Hazar, try to make this one as safe and stable as possible (like version 1.6), it'd help us noobs:D

Will RemoveWAT 1.6 last me really long unless I turn on auto-WU?

If 1.6 works for you then it will always work. One side effect is after 30 days you can't pass security essentials check and you don't get the optional language packs but it isn't a big deal, but you can safely turn on WU

i have a question about this patch,
dont take this for an attack, it's not my objective.
is this all work is not easely detectable by microsoft ?
don't you think a simple patch of MS will kill the removeWAT ?

There is no need to patch every patch released by Microsoft. The days of pre-SP1 Windows XP are over. Ialways turn off auto updates, even for genuine Windows.

yes, that's a possibility but it can also block you from accessing the windows update or install new updates dled if a specific patch is not present on your machine. so u'll need another patch to patch the patch, etc, it's a never ending story.
the idea of a windows 7 without any online activation and protection is very nice but it's a story of patch things all the time.
or maybe there's a solution somewhere to get an OS without a protection, it means recode from the start many things.
not an easy job, that's why MS choosed the bios way for OEM to keep a hard protection for the online activation. they could keep the xp way with the VLK but they knew that just one key from a big firm was not able to be blacklisted.
i got one from HP that is working for so many years, never get blacklisted.
and now to clean vista or windows 7 from the new protection seems a never stop patching files.
i'm lucky as someone found a way to mod my dell bios, but i understand a soft way is needed for people that cant deal with their bios.
