The genie is out of the bottle. I do not understand how they plan on putting it back. I mean, MS will probably masquerade the fix as an update and will put it on their site. But. People will recognize which update(s) messed up their systems, so they will just re-install the OS and skip the relevant updates. I have to say that I find it very impressive that a 14 years old kid disabled the system that was supposed to protect MS's multi-million dollar business. I guess it gives you an idea how "good" their architects/designers really are. I hope these guys will be laid off and some skilled people will be hired instead - and code a proper OS that is actually worth buying.
Well it's true, Anyway. You're implying that because a 14 year old did it their system must suck, therefore you're being agist
Just to remind you all that this tool, as far I understand, does not activate Win7 just removes activation procedure so you wont have any problems with it. It is like your windows remains in state of infinite trial period (of 24 days or 30 days without this tool? how much was it anyway?). So you will be able to update, and install additional apps, and use your windows 7 the same way as it was possible during trial period. This was accomplished by using regular windows commands which disabled activation (Windows Activation Tool I guess) and few patches so we don't get those genuine trial messages. If this tool is used on pure Windows 7 installation it will work as a charm ... if you have serious problems with yours that is was not pure (untouched ISO). Some problems like genuine message in the bottom right corner can occur but simple right click on Computer icon on Desktop and Properties should remove that one (Control Panel/System).
Hi, in first time im sorry for my english. I have installed W2008 R2 Enterprise and I have the problem of reboot every hour. I try to install Remove WAT 2.0 but after I install it Windows reboot everytime. Also I try install RemoveWAT 2.0 in clean install of W2008 R2 Enterprise but I have the same problem. Can anybody help me, pleaseeee??? I download ISO in microsoft official page.
@ Hazar I have faced a problem with remove wat, Please check out my thread, in that I have explained my problem.
I saw this posted by someone and cannot find this anymore. I was looking for the instructions on what to add to the W7 DVD stating that after Windows 7 is installed (or during) to automaticly run RemoveWAT program, im trying to take both my original MSDN copies of the x64 and x84 version of Wndows 7 and make custom RemoveWAT 2.0 version of it that will auto do it.
In my defense: I wrote "I guess it gives you an idea". The younger you are, the less boundaries you have - therefore, youngsters are more likely to venture into areas older people (with boundaries) would not even consider. If that makes me agist, so be it. MS would really need such architects and designers - it seems that they cannot think outside the box anymore. So yes, I am not a fan of Vista or 7. Never liked Vista and 7 is almost the same thing with more goodies to blind you from the sad truth. But, I did not post the message to complain about MS, I meant to stroke your ego ;-)
Uninstall RemoveWAT, set the generic KMS client product key, and try connecting to an open internet KMS server. Should keep you good for at least 180 days.
First of all, congratulations Hazar. I heard you were quite young, and you seems gifted, so i hope you will have a brilliant future. You're not providing a crack, there's something more beyond: you give us the proof that there's alway a crack, depsite all the efforts Microsoft put into thie piracy battle. Honestly, i'm impressed. As we say here in my country, "chapeau bas". By the way, i've read many interesting thread, but I'm still confused: With the RemoveWAT patch, do i need to worry abouyt future countermesure from Microsoft, or it will be fine? How can we be sure that it will work for ever? Thanks for the help.
Yes, Microsoft in the future could potentially detect RemoveWAT via WGA, or some other tool, just like any method that uses software to fool the system into thinking it's activated, or bypassing activation. It's guaranteed to work forever if you don't download any updates or run WGA. What I'd recommend is don't set updates to auto-install, and monitor this thread / forum after patch tuesday to see if any new patches impact RemoveWAT.
Could somebody enlight me, please. Do I need (to enter) product key/cd key during installation of Win 7 to use RemoveWAT?
