I recently finished restoring the rearm count back to 4 so you can rearm Win7 forever. I was also able to activate Windows 7 RTM using RC key without the internet. I am certain that if I have an activated retail 7, then I can transfer activated licenses from one computer to another. My goal is to allow users with legit activated genuine license to copy that license over from one computer to another if the internet activation doesn't work any more. Right now I need some one with an activated genuine legit license to work with. Please PM me if you are interested.
I prefer the one that you can activate via the internet (retail key / off the shelve). I don't think you can activate OEM via the internet.
People think long and hard about handing out any legit keys that you have paid for!! If things go south, then you may be paying to obtain a new key!! Never had out a legit key!!
BOX, There is a hardware hash stored in tokens.dat, and that's also where the license is stored. So if you back up your tokens and pkeyconfig and restore it on the same machine, it activates. You need to break the hardware hash to do what you are trying to do.
Ok, I have a legit key and activated it on one computer. (I am not sure if I should credit that person for fear that he may get into trouble. The key will only be for testing and will not be made public.) I am now able to make another computer genuine and licensed with verification from the MGADiag. However, I can't get the genuine logo in the System Control Panel. Code: This copy of Windows is not activated. Click here to activate Windows now. With no internet, I click on it and it said that the activation was successful. But still no genuine logo. The token has a part in this. I am using the same method I use to reset the rearm count to 4 to make another computer genuine without the internet. I sorta know what to touch and what not to touch. I will track down the last part of the puzzle. This is interesting. I would post screen shots but I am still a newbie here.
Hazar, Activation on Win7UEx64 computer (with no internet) using only files from Win7UEx86 (activated/genuine) computer worked. The x64 computer is now genuine and activated via MGADiag, System Control Panel, and WU. I now have to retrace my steps. A special thanks and credit to PAYMYRENT for sacrificing a key.
Done Deal! I have successfully copy Win7UE activated licenses from x86 to x64 and from x64 back to x86. The license is activated and genuine without using the internet. Now, you can basically go to the computers with the activated genuine retail licenses (your own), use my program to extract the activated licenses, and activate the genuine licenses on other computers (your own). The proper way to use it is to make a backup of your genuine license before reformatting Windows 7. If the internet activation was not successful, then you can try to restore your backup genuine license.
I initially used a license on x86 and activated it over the internet. I then take the internet activated license from the x86 computer and activated it on a x64 computer without the internet. I then take the activated license from the x64 computer (without the internet) and activated it on another x86 computer without the internet. I am going to test it on an OEM licensed with a boot loader and see what happens.
Right on, sounds pretty cool. So you found a way to use the retail activation files from 1 PC and use them an any PC running the same edition of Windows without letting the hardware hash get in the way?
CRAP! The license worked only because the hardware was withing tolerance. I tested it out on another and it did not work.
That's what I was thinking...hence my question earlier as to whether you did this all on the same machine. Oh well...nice try.
