@Armp0wr this program designed and programmed by Hazar, removes all Windows Activation Technologies for the Windows operating system, leaving it unable to activate, therefore letting it think it is already activated.

If that's the case then why do I keep getting a pop up asking me to activate, I installed a fresh install of Win 7 x64 Ultimate and then used remove wat 2.1. I've run remove wat several times and I'm still being prompted to activate.

Hi, so first time posting but i've been reading up on this topic, so i just wanted to clarify. So i installed Win7 via bootcamp on my mac. at first i used win7 toolkit but then i found out it would expire anyway after 30 days so i found RemoveWAT. I used it, and it worked i think. If i go to winver, it still says it will expire in the beginning of march. So will it actually expire? Or will it go past march and continue to work fine? And i am using 7600 Ultimate. Thanks for any reply's.

Sounds like you are using the RC. Don't think removewat will work on RC :(

7600 is RTM yes, but if it expires in march i thought it would be the RC release (Build 7100).

That's why i came here lol, like i said, it still says that even after i did removewat, still says expire, but it did work, the thing at the bottom of system where it says if its genuine or not IS gone. So i guess my next question would be, should i wait out until march and see if it will still work, or would i have to reinstall and do the RemoveWAT again and only that? (maybe toolkit is messing up removewat)?

    Messed what ?
I installed RemoveWAT on my system . That's all.
Yes, I have a modded system but your tool is supposed to work on every system (as you say).
And if telling that I have a problem with your tool is spread false information then yes I do.
Answering this way is simply stupid.
Listen, I appreciate your work (as I said in previous posts) but your tool has this limit (that can be very annoying) and maybe others.
You can admit it, you can work on it, but you can't blame others for pointing it.

    That is highly likely, yes.
Early "Toolkit"s used bits from the RC and weaseled them into the RTM to make it look activated--creating a Frankenbuild with which many bad things could happen; expiration, update difficulties, etc. Best bet is probably to wipe out your current install and install a fresh legitimate untouched 7600 build and proceed from there with whatever current activation strategy you choose.

I was hoping someone could confirm if this completed correctly or not?

I installed a version of Windows 7 Ultimate X64 from an ISO downloaded (it was named something like "GRMCULFRER Window 7 All-in-One"). After installation, I let it run updates, except for "Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64"...I wasn't sure if that was something MS did to counter RemoveWAT, so just to be safe, I didn't download/install it.

It completed and restarted fine, but I then changed the system date to October 11, 2010, and almost immediately a watermark appeared on the desktop saying

    "Windows 7
    Build 7600
This Copy of Windows is not genuine"

    I haven't restarted it sense.

Running Winver doesn't mention anything about "activated" or "genuine", but it does say "This product is licensed under the ..."
    It says it's Version 6.1 (Build 7600)

Other than the watermark, I haven't detected anything else abnormal, but I've only been on it for a few minutes. Can anyone give me any insight? Thanks!

EDIT: Just to clarify, I used RemoveWAT 2.1, linked from Hazar's original post, immediately after the updates...

That's really strange. Redownload removewat, restore and reapply. You might have an older one.

Thanks for your quick reply, Hazar. I'll do as you suggest, but I downloaded the .rar file just before I extracted and applied it, so I can't imagine having an old version. I'll post back when completed... Thanks again.

    Hazar,

Thanks for updating/tweaking the program. I believe a lot of people in this thread trust your work. I, for one, hope you reconsider and continue development of your program.

Whatever you do, I wish you the best.

    LoL

OK, so I downloaded the file again from your 1st post link. This time there was a ReadMe.txt file in there, whereas before I don't remember seeing one. Likewise, the filesize was slightly different when I extracted RemoveWAT and wrote over the other file. So either someone uploaded a new version in the last 30 minutes, or there's something beyond my understanding at work.

I converted the time back to today's date and restored WAT. The restoration worked within a few seconds and asked to reboot. When I clicked OK, it gave me a blank window for about 5-10 minutes. Figuring it already said it was done, I Ctrl+Alt+Del to logoff and restart. When it came up, I got a "not genuine" warning.

I then reapplied RemoveWAT (the title said it was 2.1.2). The first time I tried, it completed in a couple of seconds. This time it took about a minute. When I OK'd the reboot, it again gave me a blank screen, so I manually rebooted. This time, I did not get the "not genuine" warning.

I changed the date to Oct 11, 2010 and so far I haven't seen the watermark. Before, it showed up within a couple of minutes, but it's now been a good 15 or so...
