    Hi Hazar!

    I've been using RemoveWAT 2.1, but today (few days after the trial period expired) the watermark appeared.
    So I used the 2.1 to restore, and then 2.1.3 to remove again. But the watermark persists...

    I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 using the verified ISO (7600.16385.090713-1255_x64fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCU)

    What should I try now?

    Thanks in advance!

    Edit: Tried to restore and remove now using version 2.1.3, but watermark persists...

    @Enigmaticz

    It's a totally different way of activating, it's not that he is unhappy he is just the publisher of another activator. His uses a loader made by zsmin to activate, this one disabables the activation system and therefore it works on enterprise.

    Guys, as I have said previously, I'm on the team for chew-wga, which, is a competing patch. For this reason regrettably I can no longer provide updates for this, I will leave the link avaliable, but I will be putting my efforts into the chew-wga 1.0 release. I promise you, it will be worth the sacrifice!

    That's fine!
    I hope Chew 1.0 can solve this problem then!

    Well, you can easily solve your issue by reinstalling windows and running 2.1.3, it would almost certainly fix it. Or just run the tool from deepxw.blogspot.com

    @Stannieman
    THe current version of RWAT locks windows out of its own activation system preventing it from doing anything, and the new chew approach is a lot different, it is more orientated to working with the activation components, and patching them, rather than plain locking windows out of them.

    Guys, Hazar is right. Remove WAT is an excellent tool but I uninstalled it and installed Chew v0.9 just to get a bit of a feel before Chew v1.0 comes out. It is very good indeed. Even shows in Computer properties as "Genuine"! :)

    So removewat patches the files to remove the activation system and windows don't know it even has an activation system, while chew patches the activation system to let it think it's activated?

    No. The current release of chew actually patches files to make windows shut up, RemoveWAT just plain blocks access to these files, amongst other things. Chew-WGA 1.0 information can be found at chew.tk

    Sounds great Hazar. When it's released with your input, I'll try it. Until then, I feel comfortable with your release. :)

    What needs to be intelligent? except for lang and edition everyone's windows files should be the same, so why does it need to be intelligent if it does the same thing on every install? Or doesn't it always do exactly the same?

    It's complicated. Basically, it's saying we are only patching what's needed, not in excess, and making sure it works on older builds too. Why do you ask these questions? I see no real point to them

    I'm just interested in how all those things work :) (kind of a computer freak)
    But it's not my intention to steal your work or anything like that if that's what you mean, you are the ones who deserve the credits.

    I want to know it just to know it, not that I can do anything with it.

    I had no inclination to believe you wanted to steal it as such, just these questions kinda seemed irrelevant and were difficult to answer is all. Kudos to you for being curious :)

    Hi, I used this tool on Windows 7 RTM Enterprise VHD (90 day trial) from MS site. This removed activation time from Computer Properties, but when I typed a command (slmgr.vbs), and checked expiration time, the script showed date 25 January 2010.
    Now, I don't know, after 9 days, Windows will be deactivated or will work.

    It will work. For whatever reason, it failed to remove the slmgr script. Mind, the 90 day expiry will still be in effect. Download a proper ISO to evade that.

    I love how it says "...begin?" right before confirming it.
