Hi, I used this tool on Windows 7 RTM Enterprise VHD (90 day trial) from MS site. This removed activation time from Computer Properties, but when I typed a command (slmgr.vbs), and checked expiration time, the script showed date 25 January 2010.
Now, I don't know, after 9 days, Windows will be deactivated or will work.

It will work. For whatever reason, it failed to remove the slmgr script. Mind, the 90 day expiry will still be in effect. Download a proper ISO to evade that.

I love how it says "...begin?" right before confirming it.

So, it will be work without doing anything (on this VHD) ?
I know, I have additional 90 days, but it can work (without this patch) only to 31 March 2010 or 90 days, after activating.
Or I must try this on another version (normal ISO image) ?

And if that will be not work, on VHD, can You tell me, what files, folders or registry entries this app removing ? (Of course, if it is not that much files.) Then, I check this files on my Windows.

Ps. You made awesome patcher, my congratulations. ;) .

It will work fine on th VHD.

It'll disable the activationbut 90 days trial is still in effect unless you use a proper iso.

    Most excellent Hazar!

I read the first 20 pages of the forum tonight and got a kick outta reading it. Can this RemoveWAT make my computer never die? lol, just some of the questions kill me.

One thing I did find pretty funny is on page 17 I think, you wrote on 10-21-2009 at 7:07am "I don't have the foggiest on the unicode problem." and then only 4 hours later, "Fixed unicode issue, new version coming" then 17 minutes later, BAM in your face with a new version. OK so,

what happened between 7am and 11am? Where you sitting there on the toilet and get up to fast and hit your head? Eat Wheaties for breakfast? Peace Pipe? Anyway just thought it was funny that for pages on the forum since from almost the beginning then all of a sudden you got
    hit with it.

Well I had fun reading the first 20 pages of the forum, still 100+ to go, excited to see what happened with you integrating it in the DVD, at least that is what it sounded like you were going to do.

Well this is the explanation to the error code:
So the problem is that the required .NET version cannot be located..

I used RemoveWAT months ago and now I have a genuine serial number. How do I undo the RemoveWAT changes so that I can activate? I tried running the newest version of RemoveWAT and it doesn't detect the fact that I've used it in the past (no restore option). I even tried RemoveWat again (the newer version) and got an error at the end and still no restore option.

I should add that I ran Windows Update today (didn't install any of them though) and now Windows doesn't think it's genuine anymore. Can't go online anymore, Aero effects disabled and nothing works. I can't even activate because an older version of RemoveWAT is still installed. I need to undo this quick so that I can activate.

Please help me! Thanks a bunch!

I am replying on this thread from my HP laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate activated with REMOVEWAT 2.1...... My computer is running great, no nag screens, with updates from the Microsoft Update site. I do manual updates. I Have deleted Windows Defender, because I have never used it and I feel it is only a tool for Microsoft to spy on you.

HAZAR, Thank you for this great tool!!!!!!!!!!

i saw this thread a little too late.
i had used the 'Windows_7_Ultimate_Activated_AIO.iso' (aprox. 3.47gb) to install win7
it had installed a few updates.
but when it came the turn to install update kb974431, it failed to apply full changes at 80% on reboot and then undid the changes.
since then, i get a c0000022 error immediately while trying to check for updates.
i ran removewat to solve this but no use.
    so i tried sfc /scannow
it found a few modded files and repaired all of them except one 'sppcomapi.dll'
now i didnt have the original version of this dll with me, so i cant replace it.
i found one in the folder 'C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-security-spp-ux_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_5b97f4df0025c6e9' but when i try to copy it, windows says that i need permissions from MYSELF to copy it and so doesnt allow me to copy.
so can someone plz gimme their original unmodified/unhacked version of 'sppcomapi.dll' so that i can repair it and then install kb974431 immediately and successfully.
    thanx, in advance.

EDIT: i just moved the file 'sppcomapi.dll' to another folder and just placed an empty txt file in there and renamed it to 'sppcomapi.dll'.
rebooted and tried to check of updates. still the same c0000022 error. tried to install the update kb974431 but it also gave the same 'failed to apply changes' error after reboot.
plz someone help me. i cant reinstall the entire os again and i dont see the point of it too if the same thing is gonna happen.
there must be a soln for this.
im using windows 7 ultimate (v6.1 build 7600)
