2.1 for me passed the patch day succesfully with -UP2DATE Nov rel. as far as I can see yet no need to reapply, the license information and activation link on right clicking the computer are still hidden. I think its better to update your RemoveWat once you get problems nor if first use.
Hi Hazar! I tried your last RemoveWAT version, and the activation info (in control panel) is removed, but some times on my desktop there is written that the windows version is not yet verified or something like that (white letters in front of the desktop wallpaper, on the lower right of the screen)... Ill post the exact text if it appears the second time (dissapeared after i went to the control panel activation dialog - non visible though... It is a volume version which normally needs a activation server to work, i do not know if that makes any difference...
Updated to 2.2.2, should fix the minor watermark issue on some PCs and finally fix the genuine check on 32bit, thanks to secr9tos! As always link remains the same It is also now less agressive so should now work on more OSes of the same platform (possible fix for WHS 2010 dashboard crash)
Siiigh. I had such high hopes, but same outcome as before. This time, my desktop icons disappear, and it seems RemoveWAT causes Explorer.exe to end. I don't know if this is intentional or accidental but there doesn't seem to be an error of any kind from it. There's a spike in CPU usage, the bar jumps to about 10%, then CPU usage comes to a halt and nothing else happens. If you ever get a chance to send me the debug version, I'd be happy to give it a try, though I'll be going out of town tomorrow afternoon so it may be about a week before I can test it if it doesn't come sooner.
This is so strange. I'll compile a debug version for you and send it to you, or something. I don't know how on earth it is getting stuck though!
File link If the base url has not changed what is new file name for v2.2? ( I know RemoveWAT21.rar is outdated.) Thanks
In the 1st post is still 2.2.1...can you update with 2.2.2? Thx a lot Hazar, for all your work...!!! l.e. I guess, I was wrong !!! sorry, I doubble checked and it is 2.2.2.0
Even though the file name hasn't changed, the current file in the link is 2.2.2. You can confirm it in the About section when you download it.
Helllo! I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit and been using RemoveWAT since last December. I overwritten the older RemoveWAT 2.2 with the RemoveWAT 2.2.2. When running 2.2.2, the "Restore WAT" is greyed and I don't have the older 2.2 version anymore so, then I clicked the RemoveWAT button anyway. Only problem is that the MGADiag 1.9.0011.0 still reports Invalid License (Validation Code: 50). Then I ran RemoveWAT 2.2.2 again to try to Restore and Remove again, but the Restore option is still greyed out. Might be a small bug? Hope someone can help. Thanks for this awesome solution.
Which means that the patch was not applied coz the new dll works and MGAdiag ( 1.9.0019.0 ) reports genuine as intended.
Anyway if i launch removewat in silent mode during windows setup, i think that the program starts explorer.exe before the system finish the execution of setupcomplete.cmd Infact at the first startup the logged user is SYSTEM and windows is very very slow. To fix it i nead to restart the system or to restart explorer.exe PS: i solved killing explorer by setupcomplete.cmd after cracking and before system starts.
Hey there and where is the new version downloadable ? version 2.2.1 did not work for me. the watermark still remained after a reboot and opening removewat again still gives me the opportunity to choose "remove wat". if i do so it gives me an errormessage that user32.mui.bak still exists :/ so i hope 2.2.2 works better for me if someone tells me where to download €: im a douchebag and should learn reading from the beginning solved but one question remains, i still have the watermark telling me "the genuineness of the windows copy was not yet confirmed" well could be a little bit different in english but i have the german version so this is the translation but it wont go away
