Is there any way to remove RemoveWAT when the "Restore WAT" option is greyed out? I can't restore WAT on 2 out of 3 PCs.
that's ma probelm, cause more than 40 GB in HD C - to much for image And whats about u? Possible by you?
Yes u can manually restore the files. Just rename from xxx.yyy.bak to xxx.yyy * slui.exe * sppcomapi.dll * slwga.dll * user32.dll * slmgr.vbs Maybe I forgot one but this are the most important ones.... OR just run "sfc /scannow" from and elevated command prompt to automize this process
come on guys be gentle and behave, Hazar has just seen 2 months of work been flushed through the toilet
lol i talk to Hazar on WLM all the time but he hasnt been around because he knows im going to laugh at him.
The program is working as intended, which is to remove WAT. I'm sure Hazar will continue to improve the program. LoL
I just tested with fresh install of windows7 x64 and than i have installed KB971033 and than installed RemoveWAT 2.24 and it works Windows Activation Technologies--> HrOffline: N/A HrOnline: N/A HealthStatus: N/A Event Time Stamp: N/A WAT Activex: Registered WAT Admin Service: Not Registered - 0x80070005
Change system files will never be a safe solution. They are very easy to detect ... even if you find a solution the system remained vulnerable.
Ok, in Hazar's defence: (1) why would anyone running a dodgy W7 want to install KB971033? I understand it's voluntary. And all it does is what WGA did for XP i.e. nothing productive whatsoever - it just plays "M$ Police" on your PC. So anyone installing it voluntarily is either curious to play with it, or plain stupid. (2) I have played with Hazar's RWAT since early on, and have seen all things from Windows Update not working; Windows Update Optional Updates ceasing to work; RWAT not uninstalling correctly, and thus the PC still worked fine with it apparently uninstalled - quite a bit. But I grabbed RWAT 2.2.4 and did the following (i) [run as admin] uninstalled RWAT 2.1; (ii) rebooted; (iii) [run as admin] cmd prompt and sfc /scannow; (iv) reboot; (v) upon reboot W7 no longer genuine, whinging to activate, desktop black etc etc; (vi) [run as admin] installed RWAT 2.2.4; (vii) reboot; (viii) upon reboot W7 back to full working order, no nags, Windows Update works including Optional Updates, and W7 passes MGADiag as genuine. Thanks Hazar. Sensational work with RWAT. And I won't install KB971033 or anything like it til it's compulsory - that'd be, well, just silly really.
Anyway PMR, what's your problem? @FreeStyler Flushed down the toilet? lol. As you can see, it is still fully operational. If the update is installed, one just needs to run removewat again. I updated it to deal with that.
