    Ok, in Hazar's defence:
    (1) why would anyone running a dodgy W7 want to install KB971033? I understand it's voluntary. And all it does is what WGA did for XP i.e. nothing productive whatsoever - it just plays "M$ Police" on your PC. So anyone installing it voluntarily is either curious to play with it, or plain stupid.

    (2) I have played with Hazar's RWAT since early on, and have seen all things from Windows Update not working; Windows Update Optional Updates ceasing to work; RWAT not uninstalling correctly, and thus the PC still worked fine with it apparently uninstalled - quite a bit.
But I grabbed RWAT 2.2.4 and did the following (i) [run as admin] uninstalled RWAT 2.1; (ii) rebooted; (iii) [run as admin] cmd prompt and sfc /scannow; (iv) reboot; (v) upon reboot W7 no longer genuine, whinging to activate, desktop black etc etc; (vi) [run as admin] installed RWAT 2.2.4; (vii) reboot; (viii) upon reboot W7 back to full working order, no nags, Windows Update works including Optional Updates, and W7 passes MGADiag as genuine.

Thanks Hazar. :p Sensational work with RWAT. And I won't install KB971033 or anything like it til it's compulsory - that'd be, well, just silly really.

    Anyway PMR, what's your problem?

    @FreeStyler

    Flushed down the toilet? lol.

As you can see, it is still fully operational. If the update is installed, one just needs to run removewat again. I updated it to deal with that.

Hazar some of these people take your efforts for granted, but I think you have the genuine appreciation from most of us, and I have no doubt you will be able to deal with this latest obstacle. People let the man post when he wants to, and when he has the time he will keep improving his own creation. It's fantastic that Haz finds time to even respond to most posts to him.

Hazar, i read that periodically (like, 90 days...), the WAT check sistem's files, scanning to verify if everithing is ok with windows. Your's patch (RemoveWAT v2.2.4) disables this regular verification? (Sorry bad english... I'm PT)

    Guys:

The only problem is you cannot run microsoft.com/genuine

    Windows update works
    Genuine downloads work
    MSE installs

WAT will detect this hack but won't do anything as far as I know, and rwat will remove WAT if it is installed.

    ok?

Ok, guys. We all know, that piracy always wins. We will always find a little hole in Microsofts castles walls. But still, now I want this all clear! Will Microsoft not release some bulls**t that ruins our computer? I mean, is this their only trick? Can they not do more? Please, someone tell me. And if I am right, please someone make the steps down below most "noob-nice" as possible. And please make download link for absolute latest version :)

    Thanks,
    Zero1995

Do you really expect us to give you a definite answer? How should we know what Microsoft is up to? If you scared about losing permanent activation with a loader, removewat or even a bios mod i would advice you to get a retail license.

Well, I JUST want to know. If I get a message like "Your Windows is not genuine" which happens with KB971033 I think so if you don't have RemoveWAT installed. What can you do after? Does your computer freeze or something like that?

If you are playing this OEM pre-activation game (like most of us here) you might end up loosing your genuine status... that is the risk involved, i doubt it will ever happen but still nobody, and i mean absolutely nobody can give a more accurate answer at this point...the future will tell

And no, it won't freeze your computer...where have you been living, in a cave? ;)
You are still able to continue to work only with annoying nags en a black desktop background... similar to the non-genuine XP behavior

But can someone please still tell me the steps on what to do, so noobish as possible? :):) - And this message doesn't show up when RemoveWAT 2.2.4 is used right?
