Hi. Me and my friend used this tool about one week ago on RC 7100. It removed all activation notifications (in Computer properties section and watermark on desktop). There was no problems until today. My friend, who is in south korea started experiencing 2-hour-restarts early today, then my (Eastern Europe) notebook also started to restart every 2 hours. I expected other people to write here, but it seems like it hasn't yet started in US (because of the time difference I guess), or maybe it is a problem with RC only.
Anyway, to cut it short, right now it seems like this removeWAT is not working, at least not for RC 7100. We are looking for some other solution, without success so far.

    @Hazar:
You have a new version of RemoveWAT from today in posting #1.
The file has the same size (6.663.680 Bytes), but compare shows, that the file is different from v2.2.5.

You packed it TWO times, but forgot the ending .ZIP in the depacked first archive.
    Are you drunk?

    A petition:
Can you write the correct actual version number into your posting #1?

    very very minor

the differnece is there is no popup for a second when it shuts down, it doesnt attack as many files, and it stops WAT from trying to run every 90 days

I will have to download the new version and try again with clean wga files..

Another vote for full version string via first post..

Been using RemoveWAT for awhile.. flawless up to this point other then the silly BSODs I have been getting..

    BSOD error is END_OF_NT_EVALUATION_PERIOD...

Is there any way to tell if I am running 7600 RTM or 7600 Retail?

I believe my one desktop has successfully applied removeWAT I will need another few hours to verify it doesn't BSOD again..

Hmm in case RemoveWAT does not solve the problem we could still try to patch the kernel tho:D:D

I'll sign that petition. If you could post as RemoveWAT2_2_5_2.zip or something like that instead of RemoveWAT22.zip it would be much appreciated.
It's hard to know what version is available and what we're downloading otherwise.

    Much respect. Thanks.

I also receive the BSOD message: "END_OF_NT_EVALUATION_PERIOD", STOP: 0X00000098 after the PC was on for about two hours. Now I am back in Windows, but I think the BSOD is there again after again two hours??
A few days ago I installed RemoveWAT22. So I guess RemoveWAT does not work? Was the patch intended to prevent the end of the evaluation period?

For me Version 2.2.5 works on mine with no problems. I have Windows 7 Enterprise x64 Evaluation version from Microsofts website. With 2.2.5 Windows 7 still passes the validation check required to use the latest version of Microsoft Security Essentials. I do not have any BSOD for end of evaluation period even though the 90 period is long passed.
My guess for this issue would be incomplete installation of RemoveWAT due to attempting to run without Admin privileges or something similar. Is UAC still on?

However, 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate will not pass the genuine check for Security Essentials and gives you a notification. It doesn't matter, the operating system still works just fine, but obviously Security Essentials stops working. If you don't use Security Essentials, RemoveWAT still seems to work perfectly fine to keep Windows running.

I think (correct me if i'm wrong) RemoveWAT adds activation system from Windows 7 RC into RTM version and is well know that RC version will starts to shutdown the system every 2 hours from March 2010, so also the RTM version now is doing the same thing. Is there any solution to stop system restarting?

    Evaluation copy. Expires 2-3-2010 0:59
