    Hi,

i got a Panasonic Toughbook CF-52 here. And i want to mod it with a 2.1 SLIC. But now the Problem. There is no offical BIOS-Update available.

I try do DUMP the Bios with the "Universal-BIOS-Backup-Toolkit" and try to mod if with this Tool:

    http://forums.mydigitallife.net/thr...eplace-SLIC-in-Phoenix-Insyde-Dell-EFI-BIOSes

But i cant flash it with "phlash16 ". I got the Message "Platform signature not found in the interface". Whats my Error? Wrong Vesion of phlash16?

    *EDIT*

    WinPhlash give me:

-161 => "Part Table Signature not found in the Interface"

    Greetings
    Viper

its missing platform stuff from rom.. when you dload a rom it has extra details where to place the data hence when you try to use a USB programmer with a dloaded file it has extra data that has to be removed to flash with programmer... the dump doesnt have that.
    per manual:
To flash a new BIOS, you need a BIOS file with the new BIOS image (e.g., BIOS.WPH). The BIOS file, usually named BIOS.WPH, contains not only the new BIOS binary to flash, but also the data required to write the BIOS to the particular flash device on your system.

    which model ?
    CF-52CCABXBM
    or
    CF-52AJCBDBM

try using winphlash to make backup in advanced and try that one.

    1. MATBIO
    2. MATBIOCF52-1LA
Header (MATBIO IEM) in BIOSCOD01.ROM (x1)
    Pubkey in BB.BIN (x1)
    Marker (2.0) (MATBIOCF52-1LA) in BB.BIN (x1)

Yes i flashed with the files from dropbox to 1.54. Yes i get a Report see here:

    http://forums.mydigitallife.net/thr...es)/page2736?p=1042994&viewfull=1#post1042994

But the Result from the phoenixtool is not flashable with the tools in the zip. Maybe the CheckSum is not correct :/

And thats the log i got:

I GOT IT ^^. And so easy :)

    THe original BIOSUP.BAT is:

    BU52M1L.EXE V154L25.521 %1 %2 %3

    i change to:

    BU52M1L.EXE -d V154L25.521 %1 %2 %3

i found this "-d" on a readme from an other Toughbook (cf-28) Bios Update. This is from the readme:

"With "-d" option, this utility doesn't check the existence of
both AC Adaptor and battery, and adjusting date and time in
BIOS setup is not required. "

But it also ignore CRC. With "-d" he said CRC is wrong but it ask me if i flash also. So i could Update the Bios and all is fine now :)
