HI all my friend just gave me his old hp but he forga=ot the password to start up does anyone know how i can change the start up name and password to my own fustrated please help ty. barney
If the Administrator's password or username hasn't been change then just: - Restart your computer - At the logon screen press CTRL+ALT+DELETE two times(twice), and type in Administrator in the username feild and then click ok - now go to the start menu and click Run and type "control userpassword2" without qoutes and click OK - On the User, choose the account you want to reset the password and click reset password. - Type the new password or just leave it and confirm the password again and then OK - restart the Pc and try logging on to the account again you can always change the name of the account at the control panel once you have logged on
