Can make one which can patch Vista's winsetup.dll. BTW is it possible to patch winsetup.dll to create more than 4 partions during windows installation ?
Good work, but I've found this method to be even simpler (and much nicer for people who are lazy/often dl slipstreamed versions) 1. Create Partition (let it create the hidden one as well) 2. Delete main partition 3. Extend "hidden" partition to wanted size 4. Install to "hidden" partition Once installed, "hidden" partition will mount as C: Edit: I didn't see the last page with the exact same instructions as mine. Good work all the same (please don't flame me!)
During Win7 install, press shift-F10. This gives you the dos prompt. You can now run diskpart: sel dis 0 cre par pri active exit Contiunue with your install. When you get to diskmaganer, just select this partition. The installer even quick formats it for you... You can even create partitions on other drives on the fly (While it's installing) so by the time you get to the desktop, your drives are in order & available...
i am using this dll with preactivation on 32bit is working well. since change to 64bit and using 8gb ram. my activation is not working anymore and i cannot download the preactivate from mediafire... link was broken... is there anybody can get the preactivation working with 64bit windows 7 sp1? mind to share? with cert serial and dll.......
I cannot express my gratitude for these simple/understandable instructions I have been having issues with Windows 7 Backup & Restore since Windows 7 was released. The first backup always worked.. no problems. But if i restore an image, and then work with it and then try to do another backup.. I always got an error! .. something to the effect "You do not have enough space". But im using a 1TB external HD just for my backups/data! Reading around .. i finally found the problem. It's the "Hidden Partition"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As unbelievable as it sounds.. the stupid 100MB Hidden Partition would get filled up causing the error. I always let Windows create that stupid Hidden Parition.. and never thought anything of it. Now i can utilize my backups that way it was meant to be used! It's almost as if M$ did this on purpose.. to prevent piracy or something. I read pages and pages at that M$ Social site.. and M$ blamed it on language packs.. lol. Worst .. they still have not come out with a fix! I've wasted so much time/work on this issue. I even lost all of my data on D drive trying to fix this issue. Now.. thanks to your simple instruction.. i was able to bypass that stupid hidden partition
Not relating to this tool/program really... But I was thinking of is it possible to shrink the size of the hidden partition? With appropriate tools of course? It's a 100MB partition but Win7 uses only some 30MB of it, So I was thinking of shrinking it to 50MB ----- and gain 50MB of precious SSD space!
How patch to prevent make MSR partition in UEFI mode? How patch to posible install on MBR disk on UEFI mode?
