Paul prefers the outdated older versions. Much more mature files! I would assume when files available, yes
I'm not expecting any new files being listed in the box since it will be an update. Only really new isos if any on MSDN containing a total new iso will be uploaded. Guess particular update files get published like in the past, sized some 700 ~ or something might be available as a standalone thingy. It certainly will appear in the Jukebox but it will not be a highlight to be talked about .... lol
Sorry if this is a n00b question, but why don't these iso files fit on a 4GB USB when others from the MSDN do? I tried making a bootable USB and RUFUS told me that the target (4GB USB) was too small. I had to use an 8GB.
Sometimes they calculate it as 4000mb instead of 4096mb which would actually be 4GB. Or, they could even use 4000000000 bytes, which is even more disingenuous. This is really common and is actually false advertising. Everyone who works with computers knows that 1024mb=1gb, not 1000mb.
I decided to close the Jukebox for a certain period of time because I feel like pissed from some members who do not deserve my service. Everyone who likes to get my files can call me on my site in the meantime. Period
If integration wasn't a hobby of mine, I would have stopped doing the torrent thing a long time ago. Some days you really get a lot of crap from ungrateful people. I don't mind when people have technical problems, but when people just complain about seed speed or argue about your methods, it gets old. When I first got started, I would get angry at people. I would sometimes respond in kind to their gripes. I would also get angry at people who re-uploaded my stuff on the same site and removed my credits, but that's not related to this conversation. After a while, though, you just kind-of stop getting angry. I ended up just starting to tell people to go elsewhere if they didn't like it, or not responding at all. It takes its toll on your interest though. When you detach yourself from your emotions like that, you remove the part that enjoys your effort as well. I still feel like I learn a lot from my integrating, but I really don't care about sharing it anymore. I really only do it to publish my efforts. If MS ever made updated builds available on demand, I wouldn't bother. Those would be far superior to integrated versions.
Thanks Paul and Murphy for your efforts to date. To be honest, I don't blame either of you for not wanting to continue. The begging/ranting/raving/ that went on here around the Update 1 isos was pathetic to say the least.
You're right, bchat, the begging was pathetic, but the off topic discussion and the name calling in the Windows vNext thread is even worse! And for what really? Some stupid rumors who may or may not be true... Pathetic indeed.
Indeed Off topic, but more lighthearted this time: Happy 59th Birthday, Paul! Keep up the good work and never, ever let those immature members get to you!
