I have always appreciated Paul's hard work. Same goes for the others who go out of their way to make this place great.
Paul might not be so bothered if people actually explained how they appreciated his box. It's bad enough with same-language stuff, but for issues where there's obviously a language barrier, I think a lot of people avoid trying to say something so they don't sound foolish. My seed/thank ratio is like 1000/1 on average, but for non-english people it's probably 100,000/1
I think the "language barrier" figures into many of the situations here. Technical issues can be diffcult to explain in one's language of choice, add another language and the task is more complicated. I have a feeling we will all get through this time frame and await Windows Next... ETA - Happy 59th Paul.
You mean trying to tell a "Swede" that he installed a VL version of Windows 8.1 using the KEY to allow Installations but not Activation. (this was stated very clearly) and he has been trying very hard to activate his VL with a Retail Key that he bought. (never ask from who or where). but it clearly after many attempts to get a slmgr -dlv and telling him he has the WRONG KEY. and he refuses to just some KMS program. which is not legal, and he calls himself "Swede" and when he calls HOME he alwasys gets Can not Validate that ID. Yes, that does get complicated...
for all that did not realized it. The Jukebox is disabled until some clowns and other "individuals" are set to read only mode or totally get deleted. I don't feed idiots with a total of 100 bucks/month. If mods like to know whom I'm talking about, I can clearly say but I believe they know
Happy birthday Paul. I've read some of these posts just to see what the commotion is about and also to reinstall my 8.1 that went bad in my laptop I bought used. I quickly converted it back to 7Pro since the key is in the bottom but realized that 8.1 is actually faster in the hardware. It's nice of you and Murphy to answer people's questions even if they are dumb. I appreciate you guys even if I only come to MDL once in a while and post on a rare occasion (yup, 10 posts since 2010. I like to read and educate myself from here or elsewhere when I can versus asking without searching) to update myself on extracurricular tech talk. I know I wouldnt have the patience, kindness, or dedication to be doing what you guys do.
You are too kind to people's lack of courtesy. If the barrier was there they wouldnt be here looking for what they are looking. The few things people learn when they go to any foreign place usually are "hello, goodbye, thank you". Now you made me waste my 11th rare post on a silly reply. ~
currently box is active but only for to see what is gonna happen. Guys enjoy a full load the long it runs
Paul, I have never used this yet, but I just wanted to say Thank you. I feel this is very kind of you to have this for us in case we need something, this way we are sure to get a clean copy of it. I know I do not post here very often, but have gained a lot of knowledge here. I just wanted to show my gratitude to you.
terrance, thanks for your nice words. I try to carry on and let the single(iso)s turn at a 45rpm speed as usual
Little announcement: Our buddy TONSCHUH from Downunder now owns a Jukebox as well. The both of us made the setup since yesterday and it is functional. He loads a couple of files which he certainly will announce by himself. So seeding is the way to go. Congrats to TONSCHUH from my end and thanks for the heads up
I'm seeding since a few hours the following files as an additional source: Seedboxes are quite affordable and are a good and easy way to give something back to our community and to share the load. PS: There is more to come.
What these guys do for other people, for pure and good will, is worthy of great respect and gratitude. Already I leave my thanks to both.
