Would always recommend to jump directly to Win 8.1, far less bloated by updates (nice new cleanup options with dism), ways faster and more stable though. To say it short: the much better option for a notebook .
i understand now thank you i`ll try that way then you take a stone from my hart after 1 recovery dvd went faulty and after i lost a damn 32G USB memory stick. i can`t afford an extra recovery partition on my samsung SSD i`m gonna install now 8.1 core so thank you all
As long as you have saved the OEM key to have it handy, it shouldn't be a problem. Not sure why MS made the Win 8.1 install a slight PITA with the generic install keys . Report the progress .
hello guys I got this error message "The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable." when I tried to get " August Update (KB2975719) for Windows 8.1 (169 MB file)" I heard that "The update has been removed because of some serious bugs." does any body know any thing about that?
Many media outlets have reported the problems with that update. MS will eventually release it, albeit with a different KB#.
