    Hi guys,

I registered here just to thank PaulDesmond and other contributors who have taken the trouble to make this great work to make available of all this exclusive material. Really guys, thank you very much. Not know how to appreciate the altruistic people like you.

I also want to ask to PaulDesmond if it is normal that the -sha1 of SW_DVD9_Win_Pro_8.1_64BIT_Spanish_-2_MLF_X19-50490.iso (MSDN File name: es_windows_8.1_professional_vl_with_update_x64_dvd_4050533.iso) not match with the -sha1 of the text file called "patch -sha1" while YES coincide with other -sha1 provided in the other text file entitled "INFO". Why does this happen? Is it normal? What reason is that?

And one more question: how will the you have managed to make these "scripts" SVF to which you have called "patchs" to translate English iso to other languages? And how this has no effect to the -sha1 on the iso resulting from the implementation of this "patch", that remains the same as if it were the original iso file at the appropriate language? :) It's really fascinating (and I love learning from smart people like you :p).

    Gretings from Spain.

patch files are exe sfx files that self-apply the delta to the en-US version to make the es-ES version. That's why they're only 100-200mb instead of 3.5gb

MS has chosen to not create one. They like dry bread, without jam.

    @coleoptere2007 and @murphy78

When patching, will it make an iso with same sha-1 as in MSDN ?

Oh My God ! I just understand the joke with my French "Humour" :D

I guess lets kill the joke then.
French Files is similar to French Fries?
I was gonna have a container of files or perhaps a file with some french words on it.

    It's just a bad joke.

When using delta patches, that's exactly what it does.
File attributes and names can change, but a hash with a significant bit total will always be the same if the contents are not different.
Smaller bit total hashes like crc32 can have quite a lot of collisions, and therefore can have many different files with the same hash.

Larger bit total hashes like sha1, sha256, etc. do not have the same problems with collisions.
For collisions to occur in large files such as isos, very large differences in content and size would need to exist, thus making it impossible to sneak something into a file with a known hash.
Hashes are specifically designed to be fast to process, but difficult to replicate without the same data.
They are unidirectional processes that start at either null or a SALT IV and proceed to add data and apply the formula until it runs out of data.
When it finishes with the data, the resulting bits are reported as the hash.

I'm sorry but I will not open French files again since someone in Nice/France does not stop leeching like hell out of the box. I didn't find the switch yet where to block this particular ip but when I finally can block that ip I will and then files can run again. This idiot tries to load all files at once and makes it impossible for other ppl around to load stuff
