pc does not boot from win 8 setup on pd

    Sorry, you're wrong. I had use it for both 32bit and 64bit to create USB bootable drives and it worked just fine, without problems!

    may be ur right but the problem is that I don't have win 8 86 and my intrnet connection is too slow... hence downloading it via torrent shows eta almost one day

    The notebook might have some trouble with the usb stick you are using, you can also try to format it in FAT32 and see if it works (it should not matter though in this case as you arent trying to install in EFI mode, where you actually need FAT32 in many cases)

    did you try WinUSB Maker from joshcell , it works every time i had problem with other tools

    plz guys stop posting tools to make bootable usb sticks... it is of no use since I have used the basic method behind all of them using diskpart and bootsect.exe which I have been doing for last 2 years and this worked on my desktop as well while trying with win 8... I believe that the problem is with the notebook.

    But I heard that FAT32 filesystem doesnot accept files larger than 2GB... isn't it
