    Hi all.
Well I have had my Abit AW9D Max for a good few years now and well it seems to be falling apart. Two SATA connectors have come off and the rear USB ports have packed in.
So I have been looking to upgrade.
First I was looking at a "new to me" LGA 775 board but damn if all the good ones are really dear. I mean a 3/4 year old board commanding £70 to £100. Cant see myself paying that.
So then I started to look at a new i7 board n chip.
ohhhhhhhhh the i7 2700K looks nice on LGA 1155 but my budget wont stretch that far.
But I did look into the Asus boards and found all the ones I liked to be the new USFI set up and not the old BIOS which I am used to.
looked a bit further and found and liked the look of the Asus Sabertooth x58. As all the features I want and has the AMI BIOS. This means I will be able to mod the BIOS to hold SLIC 2.1 and install Windows 7.

So. What do you recon, would this be worth an upgrade to LGA 1366 with a first gen i7 or just hold out till I 1155 or 2011 become cheaper.

I do like the look of the Asus Sabertooth...Anybody got one ?

    Cheers..
