WOW!!!! :D Do you guys really think that the manufacturer is an idiot? :D:D

The ORIGINAL bios file had already Slic 2.0 and the only change that was made to it was a different marker inserted. Why would anyone actually wanna touch RSDT in this case if it was made this way by a manufacturer? Following your logic if I just wanna flash my bios with the original one I have to change RSDT also? I don't think so.......:D

might sound strange but the original bios (yes original without any mods) was displaying RSDT error when using SLIC Dump Toolkit and it was only solved when the board ids were changed to HPQOEMSLIC-MPC

Actually what sounds really strange to me is that somebody would 100% rely on this Slic Dumping Tool in a matter of tuning up his computer. It's not an official program used by certain manufacturers - it was made by a member of this forum and all props go to him because it's a very skilled and talented person. But if this tool ever showed me a "mistake" while checking an original bios I would have no doubt that this "mistake" comes from the tool and not from the manufacturer.

If the manufacturer doesn't make RSDT to match OEMID OEMTableID then there must be a reason for it. Here comes Slic Dumping Tool saying "Oh, no, no, no, there is a mistake! You guys must fix this right away!" and you all jump right in trying to change that RSDT :D. Most of the time this probably would be the right decision but not in the case with the original untouched bios.

I don't think you will need it. It's been tested by a few people and worked so you should be fine :).

This is not an error. RSDT OEM/OEMTable IDs don't have to match the ones in SLIC, as long as XSDT OEM/OEMTable IDs do. You can use acpiscope/everest to verify that XSDT OOEM/OEMTable ID descriptors in the factory bios match the ones in SLIC.

Didn't expect nothing else brother :). Like I said before you had the smallest change in that bios file that's used by Windows only for the offline activation purpose.

I'm sorry, but can you please re-phrase because I'm not quite sure that I understand your question correctly. Thank you.

First-class mod! I am very grateful for your assistance :)

You're talking about DVD-upgrade from Vista to Seven?

Yes, both Vista and 7 will activate with SLIC 2.1 as long as you have a matching certificate. HP SLIC needs HP cert etc.
