Error on flashing: "escd size of new bios too small!" Any ideas? One thing I did notice is that the bios file you used is labeled 84.06 and the Gateway BIOS is 68.05. Maybe the wrong BIOS?

hmm... not sure what's up here. Reflashed and reapplyed the cert and key and still I have no activation. I get "cert installed successfully" and "key installed successfully", but still no activation even after restart. 3 questions... 1) because I had to manually erase the whole BIOS chip and reprogram it due to the brick, I lost some data points like "serial number" etc in the BIOS display, would/could this effect the activation via BIOS 2) I'm using an HP cert and key that I obtained here a while back... any problems or black listing? 3)finally, I assume this modded BIOS is using the HP info and not the Asus or something?
I've tried appling the Cert a few times... so I assume it's getting invalid due to either a bad cert (I've tried two, both I got here) or perhaps the issue with the "marker" in the BIOS? time for sleep, will check this in about 12hrs
