Hi serg008, I don't want to seem like I'm causing a problem but the user guide for this unit states that once bios has been updated it is not possible to downgrade the bios to a lower version. If I do manage to downgrade the bios to 1.06, will we still be able to go back to 1.07. Thank you for your time and help sadsack
Serg008, I got the floppy disc. But I've not had any luck with getting it to even attempt to power on. Think it's dead? The chip itself? Or should I just keep reflashing the floppy? No lights, no indication of any life.
Got real excited, was presented with following error message "The specified BIOS data file is corrupt or is a format that cannot be used by this program. Please specify the correct BIOS data file for this model". Bummer. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated. There were two .exe files, the one labeled SLIC produced the error while the other was indeed the machines BIOS. Many thanks!
Is this a generic fix for this error message or is it specific to this BIOS? I get this same error message when flashing my Lifebook T2010. Thanks!
Try this: Fujitsu_Lifebook_T2010_FUJITSU_SLIC_DYNAMIC.rar mediafire.com/?5i888fs9fnw9l4b Please post results.
OK, flashed BIOS actually using using the original mod you posted and hex editing the .exe in the temp folder, installed a SLIC 2.1 compliant Windows 7 Ultimate, never entered a key, System reports back as Windows is activated. Am I golden or did I just get a boot loader which will invariably stop working? How do I check that SLIC 2.1 is loaded and working?? Thanks for all your help! TA
First, Unistall the loader To be sure of this: Boot up the PC from your Windows installation disk Select the "Repair your computer" option Select "Command Prompt" Input "bootsect.exe /nt60 SYS /force" (without quotes) Restart the PC Note: If the above doesn't fix your boot issue then use the command "bootsect.exe /nt60 ALL /force" instead. Just make sure you remove all USB flash drives before you use the command. After this check the bios with SLIC Toolkit, Advanced Tab
Do you have any reasons to use the outdated WinXP? Just install Win7, apply Cert. and OEM:SLP key and enjoy !
