Thank Serg008 very much! it worked. i flashed and my win 7 actived. i don't know, why "Flash.bat" didn't work?
CRISIS recovery for v3515 You need USB Floppy disk drive. Create CRISIS rescue disk with latest F-S v3515 BIOS. Pull out power cord and battery. Open big cover from back of the laptop. Find DIP switch SW1. Move pin No 3 to On. Close lid, turn over laptop, hook up USB FDD, connect power cord and turn laptop on (no key combination is needed, you'll see wireless indicator ON). Wait to FDD activity stops and wait some more, look at led indicators around wireless indicator. When they flashes pull power cord out (in opposite flash process will start again). Turn over laptop, remove big lid, pin 3 on DIP switch turn back to off, close the lid. Now you can turn your laptop on. Cheers! P.S. I didn't try this proces with USB disk or CD-ROM. If you find these also working pls post back here.
I am afraid I cannot post an RW because the machine in question is completely down... What information would you need though because I have a full AIDA/EVEREST report and I did find this information in the report: ---[ ACPI ]------ [ APIC: Multiple APIC Description Table ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature APIC Table Description Multiple APIC Description Table Memory Address 5F6FEF88h Table Length 80 bytes OEM ID HPQOEM OEM Table ID SLIC-MPC OEM Revision 06040000h Creator ID LTP Creator Revision 00000000h Local APIC Address FEE00000h ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature RSDT Table Description Root System Description Table Memory Address 5F6F8A63h Table Length 52 bytes OEM ID HPQOEM OEM Table ID SLIC-MPC OEM Revision 06040000h Creator ID LTP Creator Revision 00000000h RSDT Entry #0 5F6FED9Eh RSDT Entry #1 5F6FEE12h RSDT Entry #2 5F6FEF88h RSDT Entry #3 5F6FEFD8h Does this (by chance) mean that there is already SLIC 2.0 in the BIOS? If there is any information you need that I can get from the report (aside from an RW report), I would be happy to furnish it...
I think no; see if you have a SLIC tab under ACPI. In fact parsing the bios by Andy's tool doesn't detect any presence of SLIC. Btw, a rw report is always necessary to mod Phoenix bios.
Here is the entire ACPI section from the report.... --------[ ACPI ]-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [ APIC: Multiple APIC Description Table ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature APIC Table Description Multiple APIC Description Table Memory Address 5F6FEF88h Table Length 80 bytes OEM ID HPQOEM OEM Table ID SLIC-MPC OEM Revision 06040000h Creator ID LTP Creator Revision 00000000h Local APIC Address FEE00000h [ BOOT: Simple Boot Flag Table ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature BOOT Table Description Simple Boot Flag Table Memory Address 5F6FEFD8h Table Length 40 bytes OEM ID HPQOEM OEM Table ID SLIC-MPC OEM Revision 06040000h Creator ID LTP Creator Revision 00000001h [ DSDT: Differentiated System Description Table ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature DSDT Table Description Differentiated System Description Table Memory Address 5F6F8A97h Table Length 25351 bytes OEM ID INTEL OEM Table ID Brkdle_G OEM Revision 06040000h Creator ID MSFT Creator Revision 0100000Dh nVIDIA SLI: SLI Certification Not Present PCI 0-0-0-0 (Direct I/O) 8086-2560 (Intel i845G/GE/GEV/GL/GLL/GV/PE) PCI 0-0-0-0 (HAL) 8086-2560 (Intel i845G/GE/GEV/GL/GLL/GV/PE) [ FACP: Fixed ACPI Description Table ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature FACP Table Description Fixed ACPI Description Table Memory Address 5F6FED9Eh Table Length 116 bytes OEM ID INTEL OEM Table ID NBGV OEM Revision 06040000h Creator ID PTL Creator Revision 00000003h SMI Command Port 000000B2h PM Timer 00001008h [ FACS: Firmware ACPI Control Structure ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature FACS Table Description Firmware ACPI Control Structure Memory Address 5F6FFFC0h Table Length 64 bytes [ RSD PTR: Root System Description Pointer ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature RSD PTR Table Description Root System Description Pointer Memory Address 000F6670h Table Length 20 bytes OEM ID PTLTD RSDP Revision 0 RSDT Address 5F6F8A63h [ RSDT: Root System Description Table ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature RSDT Table Description Root System Description Table Memory Address 5F6F8A63h Table Length 52 bytes OEM ID HPQOEM OEM Table ID SLIC-MPC OEM Revision 06040000h Creator ID LTP Creator Revision 00000000h RSDT Entry #0 5F6FED9Eh RSDT Entry #1 5F6FEE12h RSDT Entry #2 5F6FEF88h RSDT Entry #3 5F6FEFD8h [ SLIC: Software Licensing Description Table ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature SLIC Table Description Software Licensing Description Table Memory Address 5F6FEE12h Table Length 374 bytes OEM ID HPQOEM OEM Table ID SLIC-MPC OEM Revision 06040000h Creator ID HPQ Creator Revision 00000001h SLIC Version 2.1 I think I just answered my own question - there is a SLIC Version 2.1 at the end of the report... So, it is possible that I had installed/flashed the BIOS with the file that I had previous (and have since lost)....
